Between JaCoby Jones ($2.65M), Buck Farmer ($1.85M) and Joe Jimenez ($1.5M), the Tigers have been paying or will be paying a comparatively large amount of money to Mud Hens this year.

Niko Goodrum leads the Detroit Tigers in errors with 6 racked up in app. just 2 weeks. Yet, the Tigers won't move him out of the SS position because....

But the main reason why Goodrum is there to stay is because the Tigers have absolutely no one else to slot into the SS position (for more than 1-2 games) either in Detroit or Toledo.

Analysts said that signing a SS over the winter was one of the team's biggest needs, yet it wasn't done. After this year, a bumper crop of SS free agents will be on the market. What the Tigers do, or don't do, will be very telling about how serious they are about rebuilding.

Wilson Ramos returns to the IL but before that, Detroit Tigers' manager A. J. Hinch talked to him about doing more at the DH role going forward. He has been both an offensive and defensive liability opening up the path for....

Eric Haase. He plays catcher, outfielder and now he's learning first base. Expect to see him play a game there soon.

Can't be a bad team w/o losing most of the close scores...and they do so often enough.
