It was a perfect time for Meadows to belt one out and win it with a grand slam but he pops up.

I have a strong dislike for the other AL central division teams but I Despise the f'n oakland a's ever since I was a teenager and those dirty f'n bastards would throw at the Tigers heads. I loathe that scumbag campaneris for throwing his bat at Legrow in the '72 division series Fuck him and fuck every oakland a's team from the 60's on to the present.

The Detroit Tigers are mired in a significant offense slump that has spanned the entire season so far. Through Monday?s game, they are scoring less than 2 runs per game on average. The MLB average is just over 4 runs per game.

Save for 1 hitter, the rest of the lineup simply isn?t hitting. If you didn?t read yesterday?s blog that outlines the issues, here it is:

While it?s usually a combination of factors, if you had to identify which group was most responsible for this lack of scoring ability, which would you select?

The players for their lack of talent and/or hitting ability?

The hitting coaches, Scott Coolbaugh and Mike Hessman, for their lack of results?

Or the architect of the rebuild, GM Al Avila, for being too focused on drafting and developing pitchers and not giving enough attention to developing/acquiring hitters?

Haven?t been much excited about much of anything let alone tigers over the last few years
Been going to bed at sunset up at sunrise I think that officially makes me old

Add it all up just don?t get around to tigers much anymore they just low on priority or excitement list

I am already there, Been doing this since 2000 when I first started with all of you or the remaining few from early espn days and since late 2006 doing the Tigers Team Notes and Minor League. All of this has caught up with me between working more at the retirement community since Covid, here and also Twitter,
which is why I asked for all of you reading to do the game threads between you guys. One of these days this will all come to a halt for me. So I understand how you feel it is like you have to step back a little and look at it from a distance without it so important to your life with family and real life which is so important to us.

I give a lot of opinion and analysis about Tigers baseball..to summarize these first 30 games..DET just doesn't execute anything besides pitching at a major league caliber..how many clean games have they played..in 2021 they did these things..
Their defense is as poor as their offense..and if if they begin to hit..unless they improve defensively..at execution..they will continue to be an embarassment. EXECUTION..not a hallmark of Avila built teams.
