Yesterday, the Detroit Tigers had 16 H and scored 17 times w/out hitting a single HR. Every starter had at least 1 H and 1 RBI. How appropriate given that 2 weeks ago, A. J. Hinch said "We continue to find different ways to score. That's the best version of us when we do that."

Here's something every Detroit Tiger fan can relate to..... Nats' pitcher Stephen Strasburg has pitched only 26.2 innings since signing a 7-yr. $245 mill contract 2 years ago. Makes Detroit's Jordan Zimmermann contract of 5 yrs/ $110 mill a little less painful. Kinda.

With so much of the focus on Detroit Tigers' Akil Baddoo, Eric Haase is the other player who came out of nowhere after being acquired by the Tigers last year and then DFA'd.
Don't look now, but he's tied for the lead in HRs despite having played half the games Jonathan Schoop has. He also has the team's best OPS at .841.
