Following last nights game, the Tigers optioned RHP Bryan Garcia to Triple A Toledo. A corresponding roster move will be made prior to tomorrow?s game.

Prior to today?s game at Texas, the Tigers have made the following roster moves:
*Placed OF Daz Cameron on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to July 5, with a right toe sprain.
*Reinstated INF/OF Niko Goodrum from the 10-day injured list.

*Selected LHP Ian Krol from Triple A Toledo.
*Transferred RHP Spencer Turnbull to the 60-day injured list. This Sucks.

A.J. Hinch said Spencer Turnbull (forearm strain) was feeling symptoms and had a setback in his throwing program. The team brought him from Lakeland to Dallas to get him evaluated. Best-case scenario would be a return at the beginning of August, but he won't be throwing for now.

For all the positive developments in Detroit over the past couple of months, this is still a very bad defensive baseball team. Entered worth -38 defensive runs saved, the worst in baseball by quite a bit. That number will be even worse after this game.

he is on an innings/pitch count. He was on his last start too. It appears that it's 50 pitches. Sounds like they are going to do this until the AS break. Not sure what they are going to do after that.

From what I understand he will be limited before and probably even after the ASG because they are hoping he can pitch the entire season by doing this.

Considering the quality of opponents is very low for July, do not expect this to change until August.
