Austin Jackson is back with the Detroit Tigers and back in his familiar spot in the batting order.
Jackson will bat leadoff and start in center field Saturday afternoon when the Detroit Tigers play the second game of a three-game series with the Cincinnati Reds.
The Tigers reinstated Jackson from the disabled list early Saturday morning and will announce a corresponding move today prior to the game. The Tigers also placed shortstop Jhonny Peralta on the paternity list and recalled Hernan Perez from Single-A Lakeland to fill Peralta's spot.
Ramon Santiago will start at shortstop in place of Peralta. Danny Worth is starting at second base.
Justin Verlander (5-4, 2.67 ERA) will start on the mound for the Tigers. The Reds will start right-hander Bronson Arroyo (2-4, 3.91 ERA).
Just four Tigers hitters (including Peralta) have faced Arroyo. Prince Fielder is hitting just .238 (10-for-42) against the right-hander, but he does have four home runs, eight RBIs and seven walks. Gerald Laird is 1-for-5 against Arroyo, while Miguel Cabrera is 0-for-2.

Berry sits, hoping the Tigers lead late in the game and can sub for Young in left 7th/8th inning.
CLASH OF MVPs: Tigers' Verlander is 16-2 in interleague play while Reds' Votto has a .549 avg during 14-game hit streak. They've never faced each other.
