Omar Infante and Prince Fielder are the only Tigers who have faced Twins Opening Day starter Vance Worley, so there’s going to be a learning process here.

I hear the temperature is going to be super cold. Nasty cold. Some broken bats today..

I have no idea why they built an open-air stadium in fucking minneapolis. The brewers had it right, Miller Park is my favorite ballpark that Ive been too, even above Comerica. Retractable roofs are the way to go in places like this.

Hopefully we don't have a whole lot of "Game Over" when we're down 2-0 in the fifth. That stuff gets old quick.

day 1 and Smoker has the lineup right...has to be a April fools joke.

Personally Id still like him to swap cabby and prince, but its not a huge complaint. As long as Don Fucking Kelly isnt in the lineup, im happy.

Tigers batting practice ranged from Victor Martinez in short sleeves again to some pitcher bundled up with a towel around his neck.
Verlander said last week he doesn't like wearing long sleeves when he's pitching. Gotta figure he has little choice today.

After watching the Tigers get humiliated and embarrassed in the World Series last October by the Giants, the long and cold winter of '12-'13 has allowed me to fully recover from that huge disappointment, and I am optimistic that this years team will ultimately accomplish what last year's Tigers team was unfortunately unable to do.

It is a very long season and a marathon to the finish line. There obviously will be those games and series that the Tigers will play in, that will cause euphoric highs and depressing lows for us fans during the season, as there always are, but I am pretty confident that the former will occur much more often than the latter.

Go Tigers!!

I like having the better hitting come up in the first inning..

Didn't even realize this was a 4:10 start until I got to work this morning, well, bailed out a little early and have the house to myself to drink a couple beers and watch Verlander and the Tigers open up. Going to be a good long season.

My first week in Arizona - I'm already confused. I see 4:10 and realize it's not starting in 3 hours but a few minutes from now. Can't wait until I see a Lions game at 10am.
