Detroit Tigers' Anibal Sanchez looks to correct 'major' mechanical issue in first start of season.
from Mlive

Kevin Correia has pretty much been the same pitcher for the last four years, with a record around .500, 9-10 hits per nine innings and a low strikeout rate. But one thing he has in his favor going into his first start as a Twin is his success against Prince Fielder: 5-for-25 with a double, a home run and six RBIs. He went 1-for-6 against him last year. On the flip side, not surprisingly, is Miguel Cabrera.

Anxious to see how Sanchez does today. Not that any games against Minny this early in the season are really big wins but with the way Detroit plays in Minnesota it really would be nice to take the first 2 out of 3.

Lets get a W today and claim our first series of the season.

Hoping for a QS from Anibal despite the still quite chilly and conditions @ Target Field this afternoon. Currently 45 degrees w/a wind chill of 37, ( S at 17 mph, gusting to 24 mph) in minneapolis, and the high temperature is expected to remain @ the current reading.

pale hose leading the royals 4-2 now in the bottom 7th.

white sox with 5 HRs already today. wtf

I mean 4, but still.. wtf

Sanchez didn't look too sharp but at least he escaped without any damage, time for the offense to go to work.

Tigers go down quickly in 8 pitches, 1-2-3 in the top second.

Having torii in right makes life a lot easier as a tiger fan or pitcher.

Watching him play in LA last year, to me it was obvious he covered more ground than Trout. He's just a vacuum out there, any fly ball to right is dead.

There's a reason Trout was in CF and Hunter was in right.

Sanchez had thrown more pitches (26) in the 1st than Correia has in both the first and second (19). a little better in the second for Anibal 1-2-3, in 14 pitches. But Prince grounds out to end the rally in the 3rd. Tigers finally showed more patience @ the plate vs "Cy" Correia.
