Many Detroit Tiger fans are hoping that Jonathan Schoop will sign an extension with the team. But that won't happen for multiple reasons.....

In over 40 years, Boras has negotiated contract extensions for a handful of clients, but all were done with 2+ years left on their current contracts. Otherwise, every single client of his has gone to free agency, including, let's not forget, Max Scherzer.

Schoop will be 30 next yr & given his age, he'll want a 4-5+ yr contract, not a year or 2. The Tigers will want to bring up their #3 draft pick, Cody Klemens, in the next 1-2 yrs, not paying an older player an extended expensive salary & blocking young, team-controlled talent.

If you're a Detroit Tiger fan, you need some good news today after their third straight loss. It has to do with the broadcast booth.....

Over the past 10 days, Shepard has had different partners. Instead of just using Morris and Gibby, Dan Petry and CMO have also been doing full games instead of just spot appearances.

Bally Sports may be hosting some test groups to determine who, if any, gets renewed next year and which guys rate better than the others. They just also may be trying to make Shepard more tolerable.
