Game 1 of today's doubleheader will be made up as Game 1 of a split doubleheader tomorrow, with games at 1:10 & 6:10 p.m.

Game 2 of today?s doubleheader will be made up Aug. 30 at 2:10 p.m.

Dan Dickerson saying that Schoop and Sock will play second base and Derek Hill will play center field when they come back from the all star break.. coming after him talking big about Jackson Jobe. Guess Dan has been sitting in on Al?s meetings.

Kimera Bartee (formerly a roving instructor in the Tigers system) will take over as first base coach for the rest of the year.

Ramon Santiago will move to the third base coaching role.

George Lombard will return to the dugout and maintain bench coach duties.

Guess who had a meeting during the ASB..guess who lost the argument AGAIN..if you have Dave Littlefield in the pool..call Tiger Lifer for your prize.

When you think about the 2021 Tigers season it will be remembered for the end of the Avila/Littlefield fuckery regarding player personnel..and the time accountability returned to playing time.

Missing from today's Tigers moves was the fact Victor Reyes was not recalled from TOL..yes..there is a not so subtle message in that move..wanna know what kind of player Hinch likes..the not Victor Reyes kind..

Little speculation for the people..Kody Clemens is in TOL..Willi Castro is supposed to play 2B..wanna bet Willi Castro begins to play games in the OF ..bottom line about Willi ..he's useless unless he hits..he wil not hit until he figures out how to swing at strikes..

Those ties between the Pirates and the Detroit Tigers are still strong. Kimera Bartee, a former Pirates coach reunited with his former bench coach, Tom Prince, in Detroit, takes over coaching at 1B for the Tigers. It'll be interesting to see what happens at the end of this year.

It seems the Detroit Tigers were hard at work over the All-Star break. First order of business? Demoting Willi Castro and DFA'ing Nomar Mazara. Isaac Paredes and Derek Hill called back up. All in an attempt to get out of the cellar as MLB's worst defensive team.

The MLB trade deadline is in 15 days and the list of Tigers who could leave has dramatically changed.

Jonathan Schoop is still the top candidate to leave. He's newly-represented by Scott Boras who will drive up his price in FA. The Tigers won't want him to walk and get nothing in return. Robbie Grossman could still go although he's been in a prolonged slump at the plate.

Who else may other teams be targeting? Relievers are always in hot demand so the Tigers may entertain offers on Gregory Soto and Jose Cisnero.

The Tigers recalled right-handed reliever Alex Lange and outfielder Victor Reyes from Triple-A Toledo. Both players will be in uniform for Game 2, which begins at 6:10 p.m. at Comerica Park.
