Baddoo batting leadoff vs a lefty today. Leadoff single and steals 2nd. Miggy k's on 3 pitches. Wierd

It's nice to see some young players that actually look like they belong. Rogers a hustle double, Hill a terror on the base paths and Candy with a missile double off the wall. Miggy even had a first pitch single. 3-0

Hill is fun to watch. Give me him in the lineup with little power but amazing D versus Mazara all day.

Who had Wily Peralta allowing one earned run in his last 25.2 IP..in the betting pool..I confess..I did not..

Hinch managed his ass off in game 2 last night..Hill steals 3B..refuses to overuse relievers..utilizes his entire bullpen..makes secondary relievers throw leverage..AJ's way.

The A.J. Hinch Tigers are gonna make the bunt and the stolen base cool again and it's wild.
When was the last time the words "stolen base" and/or "bunt" were ever used in the same sentence as "Detroit Tigers"? Not since maybe Ty Cobb...

Good series vs a bad team.

It's a good sign though that we are playing .500+ ball over a solid period of time without much offense and with Mize and Skubal on limited innings.....Cabrera doing next to nothing and missing Turnbull and Boys for extended periods.

Some of these MILB bats wake up.....and a good off season and this team could contend sooner rather than later.

Welcome to the roller coaster that is the Detroit Tigers. Are you enjoying the ride?
It can be a yes if you try. But it?s not easy, given our goals as fans.

I shake my head at some point during every game. But most of the time because it?s so surprising how they are able to win games.

Prior to the All-Star break and to the series sweep of the Tigers by the Twins, we spoke of a 25-game stretch.

It?s a stretch of consecutive games against teams with worse records than the Tigers.

So far, they have played 10 games.

After a series win over Texas, the team went off the rails in Minnesota, losing all 4 games and sending the Tigers limping into the All-Star break.

After beginning the stretch 2-5, it was easy to come to the conclusion that the Tigers just aren?t that good and that we could not expect a big run, even versus sub-standard teams. Certainly after the sweep in Minnesota, they have shown how things are going to go the rest of the way.

But why?
We made that determination after a stretch of 4 games? Why do we do that?....
