For those Detroit Tiger fans who wonder why Miguel Cabrera is still in the lineup, there are 4 reasons:
1. You don't remove a first ballot Hall of Famer in his last year.
2. He is still the fans' favorite player and face of the franchise. And...
3. He still sells tickets. In yesterday's game, he pinch hit. Fans stood for the at-bat and screamed louder for him than for any other Tiger. After grounding out, he got a standing O. And....
4. For a team that ranks #28 in total attendance (only beating out the A's and Marlins), this franchise needs to sell every ticket that it can.
Miggy is a fan favorite and this is his farewell year which are 2 of the biggest factors for ticket sales this season.
