Tigers vs. whitesox 6-04-16 Game 55

Man I trash talked Maybin so hard to my friends and coworkers. At this point I'd be willing to eat my shoes. He's been money so far.

Geezus they banged heads but the rookie held on to the ball.

That's baseball for you. He has a chance to break what?....a 19 game winless streak???

I was curious and looked it up. Hasn't won since Sept. 9th last year. 3 decisions after that win and 10 more starts this year.

With two hits in today's game, Victor Martinez is now batting .500 (18x36) in his career against Chris Sale.

The Tigers have scored 5 or more runs in 6 of Pelfrey's last 7 starts.

Since the end of April (Tigers scoring 5 runs)

Pelfrey 6 of 7
Zimmermann 3 of 5
Sanchez 3 of 6
Fulmer 3 of 6
Verlander 1 of 6

Oh my god Mark Lowe is a fucking joke

You got to look at the bright side of this. "Too High" ERA Lowe was helping out a team mate. The closer got a save. What are team mates for? Every cloud has a silver lining. LOOONG whistle here. Some times you really look hard for a silver lining. Yea Too high Lowe needs to get his ERA lower. Glad I was able to miss the 9th let alone the game. Tigers have Lowe signed to too years as well. Some body help get him fixed.

Cameron Maybin: continues his red-hot return to Detroit, with three hits and two RBIs.
Cameron Maybin has hit safely in all 12 games at home this season and is batting .511 (24x47) at Comerica Park.

J.D. Martinez: three RBIs, including a no-doubt, go-ahead blast in the sixth.

Mike Pelfrey: six innings, five hits, three walks, two runs allowed, and a refreshing quality start for his first win of the season.

Shane Greene: a welcome return from the disabled list and a hopeful boost to shaky pitching staff.

White Sox outfielders Jason Coats and J.B. Shuck collided violently on a deep Miguel Cabrera fly ball in the seventh that the wind kept in the park. Coats made the play, but left the game with possible concussion symptoms.
