Tigers vs. whitesox Game Thread September 22

So with a chance to clinch the division at home (given a Houston win, which is relatively unlikely), the Tigers lose to some random Chicago White Sox pitchers.

Is this correct? Did they have the chance to clinch today?

If the Tigers Won and the indians lost they would have clinched.

I missed the game....just as well with what I read here with some horseshit umpiring.

White Sox 6 - Tigers 2: Celebration delayed, magic number holds at two in lackluster loss to White Sox.

Looks like some of the worst Horseshit umpiring in this game 3 pics show umps were in suck mode.

We've all talked about this, too many times the Tigers batters swing and hack first pitch, with a wild pitcher that can't find the strike zone, or do the same after a Tigers pitcher had a stressful 20 plus inning.
Rebbiv said it the other day, all the bullshit we get pissed about with the batters, the coaches, the stupid bunting in the worst situations, ..........

"it is the philosophy from the top in front office, this has to change, too many Tigers batters don't think, see a pitch and swing, they need to take strikes work the count, foul off pitches, see more pitches, get these crap pitchers who we've seen with 70/80 pitches in the 6th/7th/8th inning, it is frustrating to most all of us.

they need more productive at bats, no matter what they say to the media in postgame blips.

Doesn't matter what the record is, think of how many games and times in each game if they saw and took more pitches, how much quicker they get into the other teams' bullpens.

it wont change without a franchise-wide complete change in coaching and philosophy, and one that i dont think will happen with leyland and especially DD here.

absolutely. but DD is the one who hires them and forms the team's philosophy. its all too clear by the types of players he tends to sign and draft that he cares little to nothing about OBP or even working the count, and it shows. there are too many games where the whole offense goes down meekly, swinging at whatever gets thrown up there.

It wasn't all that good with Smith and his coaches..so they need to hire someone who has success with something like this.
