Buffalo Bills: Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia
General manager Buddy Nix, who is generally forthcoming about his offseason plans, told the media that he plans on drafting a franchise quarterback. He even said he'll trade up for one in the 2013 NFL Draft. He may have been talking about Geno Smith if the Chiefs pass on him, so I wouldn't be surprised if he moves up to No. 5 in order to leapfrog the Browns and Cardinals. :yay:

Many will criticize this move, but Nix is desperate. If he wants to keep his job, he'll have to find a franchise quarterback quickly. I think he'll swing for the fences with Smith, who undoubtedly has first-round talent; he just needs to put it all together. I'm pretty convinced that Nix will talk himself into taking Smith or another quarterback at No. 8 overall. Don't look for it to be Ryan Nassib though; it's been reported that Buffalo doesn't like him very much.

I saw this the other day, that Scott Wright from draftcountdown.com has KC going Geno Smith. If he has a good combine or pro day I bet Geno Smith doesn't get to 5.

Alex Smith would fit in nicely with KC because of the Andy Reid aquisition..I also look for them to be a player for Matt Flynn. (I'm not saying they wouldn't draft Geno, I just think the other 2 are major possibilities. Smith could end up a Cardinal too.

And hell yes trade down would be the best case scenario. When was the last time we pulled one of those off in th first?

I've heard murmurs of Reid wanting to bring Nick Foles to KC...that would also fit in nicely for a trade down scenario with the Bills.

i still think its wayyyy to fishy that PHI hasn't been drooling over geno smith running chips offense....my gut tells me hed be a pick 4 lock eventhough no one else has said anything about it. the 1 year deal for vick is just more proof if u ask me.

Except Philly brought in Dennis Dixon. They'll trade Foles, draft a late-round QB to mold, and roll with Vick and Dixon.
