The Lions need to pray that the 2 QBs go in front of them. If so, I think they will be able to address the edge rusher in the draft.

Amendola and the CB are overpaid duds. James is better than we had. Flowers is a nice piece to the defense he wants to run but in all honesty hes going to be the highest paid 7 sack guy in the league.

he's not a stud but I think he's a versatile guy that plays good vs the run and the pass. I think he makes them better.

I think he, Coleman and James are upgrades over what they had last year at their respective positions but I doubt any of them are "difference makers". However, that doesn't mean the defense can't be better depending on what other moves they make in FA and if they can add a difference maker or two in the draft.

i agree...but they are also paid a lot more than the guys we had here last year. 15+6+9+whatever james is making...the free agency dollar are almost gone already lol.

they were a 6-10 that had a lot of holes...they weren't going to fill them all. I liked Flowers and Coleman because of their age. Not a fan of signing a guy like Amendola this early in FA. As far as James...not sure what they gave him but they needed somebody.

I liked Humphries, but not at that price.

If that's the going rate for slot receivers now, then I'm OK with Amendola....plus they aren't locked into anything long-term either.

No they arent. LB is an inside LB need next to Davis. Edge is an OLB need/upgrade over Kennard that actually gets to the QB consistently. 7 sacks for an edge rusher doesnt cut it. We have 0 people that consistently pressure the qb.

Still need 3 starters on D with draft and like 10 mil left in FA. Not a horrible spot to be in....but definitely some work to do.

Lions run alot more 4-3 still. And jones can play ilb. Not a huge need. If they get devin white they dont need another lb edge..they need one or the other.

I'm digging all the signings but the Flowers signing makes me cringe a bit. He does everything well but not great. IMO, a DE that is going to get the type of money that he's about to get, he has to average more than 7 sacks a year. It's that simple. And if he can't manage doing that then he better be a strip sack King or force fumbles at will boss lol.
