Urban Meyer 7yr deal

A guy here in our office-- his father worked at OSU for years and he has family still in/around the AD. Said it will be public in a couple days but the timing ..... just before TheGame isn't shocking.

What is the likelihood he's on the sideline at MICHIGAN STADIUM for it?!

That would seem awfully disrespectful to their current coach.

They'll probably do it.

They'll re-assign Fickell to the DL coach or something ..

Posted it on facebook and people think I'm crazy. "I haven't heard anything on espn". Also got one person thinking its the ohio bobcats, because I said "over/under 5yrs before urban meyer has a heart attack in ohio"

"Over 30 players arrested in 6yrs at florida"

Yep he'll fit in.

Well, I wouldn't post something that hadn't come from a very reliable source. This guy has been right on just about everything that has developed during Tattgate and said it's a done deal -- announcement after this weekend.

Well thank you victor, and your friend. I will look like a genius if its right, especially the money lol

It may be true but I have seen nothing on any major news site. Even the Ohio board has very little on it. Like I said in another thread I don't see why he would take this job at least till you hear what the sanctions from the NCAA will be. They could lose as many as 15 scholarships for 3 years and a 2 year bowl ban. And the fans will not give him any leeway when it comes to wins and championships. I was just on the robust ESPN board and they act like if they had a good coach they could win it all now. Especially when you have health issues caused by stress.

Id never wish illness on a person but if he takes the job, does average, and his heart acts up again and has to leave the game. Would be kind of funny for Ohio to be screwed out of a coach.

The bad part is if he takes the job the chances that his next attack kills him are very high. These kind of problems do not go away they come back and in most cases worse each time.

Why do people keep saying this is a done deal? There was a twitter rumor with these details about a day ago and nothing has come out since. I don't know if it's just taken that long to get the rumor really going but I've seen nothing at this point that would suggest it's anything but that.

I thought they were waiting on the NCAA sanctions before making the announcement. Just to make sure there are no surprises.

No way OSU does this, quietly.

Look at the media coverage UM had with Hoke!

This may be true in the end, but I can't believe it is done. To much noise in Columbus and too many blow hards that would want to brag about this story. Of course the rumblings could come tomorrow.

I googled and read some article and the guy said it was 99.7% correct. Of course he could have been full of shit lol.

But if vic believes his friend, so will I. For now.
