Contrary to how they are portrayed on teevee, many cops aren't as clever, shrewd. or intelligent IRL...and some are just downright dumb. Becoming a cop is a means for many to exert power and control over others, who otherwise would never be able to attain such ability while working in private business. Or failing to even graduate from a cadet to LEO, instead resort to becoming a security guard or bouncer.

Few of them legally grant the power, authority, and ability of life or death over others....I really should not even have to post this reply, its so damn obvious.

This is a "generalization"

All conservatives vote Republican straight downticket...not b/c they believe that those voted for will necessarily improve their own lots in life, but instead b/c they will ensure that others, esp teh gays, liberals, socialists, minorities, immigrants, green-carders, and elderly won't have any nice things either.
