7:40 mark on this video is the qb sneak. Clearly shows carter pushing the pile. Carter actually made some plays in this game on limited touches. Wierd target for your hate. He had 2 runs that he was hit instantly in the backfield for a 7 yard loss and a 5 yard loss. Outside of that he looked fine.
You realize that he's marked by several defenders on that play. If he runs right to that spot on the snap so do the defenders marked on him. Once it's clear Chiles has the ball the other defenders push in to the pile and so does Carter. It's just such a weird takeC’mon man. He’s late to the pile, standing up straight legged bends over and gives a push that only pushes himself over. That’s a D- effort at best by Carter.
I don’t hate Carter, he’s just a mediocre tailback and he was lazy on that play. Try not to let your Chile Derangement Syndrome cloud your judgement so completely. He’s not the only one not getting it done.
The other replay angle shows Chiles dive to the left right on the snap and get the mark for fwd progress then he gets pushed back with the pile. Carter was totally useless on that play.
