Get StartedNot having Brantley and Spencer doesn't help, does it? Just trying to patch together a defensive backfield at this point.Odd because our 3rd down defense is usually strong…
Defense has had 2 good series, Rutgers has scored on every other possession. The run game hasn’t gotten better, they just look less shitty against bottom tier teams like RU that give up 340 yds rushing per game. Marsh is our only good receiver and he’s double teamed constantly. Chiles isn’t good but he’s probably one of the most sacked QBs in the league - some of it’s on him but this line stinks. I’d be curious to know their success rate on 3rd and 4th and short. I’d take the under on 50%.Defense is young and thin. Have had a lot of injuries there, but young guys are getting snaps that probably aren't ready. Run game has gotten better as the season has went on. Line has been much better. Nobody expected this team to win 10 games this year. Most of us just wanted to see the team bet better as the season went on. It's hard to gauge the offensive players because their most important player has not got better at all. Like this drive, good runs to start off and then Chiles stops the drive.
Other than maybe Haladay, it’s hard to imagine an injury that would improve a team. Not having Brantley and Spencer doesn't help, does it? Just trying to patch together a defensive backfield at this point.
