Welcome Jonathan Banks

I'm with ya Tom, but if it looks like they are grasping at straws, it's because they are! Frankly we couldn't do any worse than a guy like Bademosi, and there is a non-zero chance that a Banks which had some talent somewhere down the line can be revitalized with a change of scenery and coaching. This isn't the Forsett move, which is just a warm vet body, it is Forsett with little a sliver of long term upside. If he's cut in a week I wouldn't be surprise either.

If he gets cut, though, we get the pick back. Really a move that has little to no downside.

i feel like LKP compared to tom lol. Sheesh man, it was a 7th rd pick and we started the likes of that shitty Bademosi turd last week. Diggs cant cover for shit. Lawson is a walking PI call. Banks might not even see the field....but its worth trying something different than the scrubs we have on this team.

Bademosi did a good job against Hopkins though. Gotta give the kid some credit there.

I didn't get to watch the game. Did Bademosi actually do a good job, or did Osweiller just...Osweiller?

Osweiller threw for close to 69% completion percentage. Corners definitely did a good job of preventing big plays though. They gave the offense a chance, just didn't work out. Most of Hopkins work was on underneath routes, I thought Bademosi did a great job considering how most of expected him to do.

Maybe he'll take Lawson's spot when Slay comes back, cuz that dude hasn't done a damn thing

Osweiler got the ball out quick and to his wide open TEs underneath. Just cause he didnt throw it to hopkins doesnt mean Bademosi did a good job. He just took advantage of our shitty LB corps like every team should.

Bademosi had good coverage most of the game if you watch the matchup. Just because tight ends got open doesnt mean hopkins won his matchup. You have to actually watch hughes. Not just assume bademosi was burnt

Hopkins is the #1 option on that team. He was held to 4 rec for 44yds. Bademosi did a great job. Our LBs are garbage in coverage but Bademosi actually played well.

Hopkins has been terrible this year and I think it is mostly due to his QB. He has been held to 5 or fewer catches in 6 games and <60 yards in 6 games. He has had one game with more than 75 yards this year.

Here is a write up on Hopkins' game.

"This has become the expectation for Hopkins with Brock Osweiler as his quarterback. Hopkins made a sick, one-handed catch on a poorly thrown ball over the middle, but was tackled at the one-yard line, setting up Lamar Miller's touchdown on the next play. Hopkins was also the target on Osweiler's lone interception, a terrible pass thrown way behind Hopkins."

Worth pointing out, Lions LB coach Bill Sheridan and CB coach Tony Oden were both in Tampa Bay when Jonathan Banks was drafted.

Simply put...the osweiler to hopkins tandem is garbage. Yes Bademosi held Hopkins to under 100 yds receiving technically. Yes, Osweiler is awful and doesnt throw to his receivers barely ever, therefor i see a 4 catch 40 yd day as no reflection on how well or not well Bademosi did. Osweiler had one of the best comp %age days of his career, and beat us. They ran the ball down our throats the entire 4th quarter and turned Hopkins into a cheerleader. Nice job defense!

Simply put. If you watch the snaps, you can see Bademosi with good coverage and he gets a pick. Simply put we held them to 20 on the road and lions offense screwed up. Simply put it was obvious opi by their te on their first td. Simply put they didn't have to drive that far on their td drives. Simply put ngata, slay and levy didn't play either

Did you see the one handed catch Hopkins had at the 1 yard line? That was a crazy catch! Thrown even a little better and it's a TD & not a tackle by the DB. And the pick...it was such a shitty pass that even you or I could have picked it off.

Brock is such a shitty QB. Texans fans must be SO pissed they signed this turd from a division rival.

Simply put, it was a Detroit loss.

Simply put it doesnt mean Bademosi did poorly. Slay is practicing so hopefully this is all moot

Defnese held them to 20 including 6 in second half. I take that on the road. The wrs didnt show up. Plus oline had some penalties that killed drives. Lucas a sack that killed a drive because reiff was sick. Prater missed a fg.

Lets see wht they do against vikings

Hopkins is a monster. Of course it's the QB. It's not even debatable but Hopkins did it with scrubs last year. That's why it's fair to say that at least Bademosi had pretty good coverage regardless...
