Well, it's Ohio State week

I already decided after the debacle against Nebraska that I wasn't watching The Game. I've had my concerns about this team's performance since the end of October and they haven't proven me wrong yet. I doubt I'll even watch whatever shit bowl game they stumble their way into.

As I was typing this, my local news station played two ads announcing next week's game. It's really going to be overkill here with all the stations talking about the "Border Battle," being so close to Michigan and all. Ugh.

Good use of the oxford comma is one of my better talents...

I appreciate a good Oxford comma, but the comma in your post was not an Oxford comma. I assume we're talking about other times when you've used them in the past.

Sbee is the one who mistakenly referred to one of the commas as an Oxford comma. I didn't feel like correcting him at the time.

I think sbee incorrectly referred to the Oxford comma because he's elitist, he's liberal, and he's a Sparty.

just burned out these past 6 years

but i will be there amongst the sea of red

i don't like the booing but this offense has major issues

I'd like to amend my initial post. I won't watch from the beginning. I will dvr it, just in case a miracle happens and I'll turn it on when I get home around 2:45pm, although I'm willing to bet that it won't be competitive at that point.

I predict to be watching parts of the 2nd half from my buddy's couch, off Newport Road.

You can boo, but make it at a frequency that the kids can't hear.

Some of you may remember this. When the OSU program was in meltdown mode following Tatgate, Tresselgate, etc., I stupidly/brazenly came on either this or the ESPN board and predicted an OSU Big House victory in the upcoming game. The mood at the time was foul in Columbus, elevated in Ann Arbor on the strength of the Hoke hire, and The Game was still months away.

My prediction was based on the fact that no matter what, one thing I knew was that Fickell, who played in four of them, would show up for The Game with an inspired Buckeye squad. That's the way it is in The Game. As it turned out, the Buckeyes played their best ball of the year in a losing effort. My prediction was wrong, but the Buckeyes, led by true freshman Braxton Miller, played inspired ball for sixty minutes and The Game, while never really in doubt, had more than a few of you on the edge of your sweaty seats.

Michigan's season has been a huge disappointment. One thing I know, however, is that Hoke will show up on Saturday with an inspired squad. That's the way it is in The Game. I'm once again predicting an OSU win, but it will come late and be by less than ten points.

I don't like Michigan. I really don't like some of you. But I respect the hell out of the Wolverines. Every Buckeye fan I know feels the same way.

Used to respect the Buckeye program. Not now. Not since Cooper left. Now it's bereft of integrity. I doubt Buckeye fans feel the same way. The way OSU trotted out Tressel like he was a returning hero was predictable and pathetic.

The Game will go on without your respect. For the record, I hated the fact that they brought Tressel back. That was junk and the Buckeye fans I know agree. Tressel should be treated no better than Pryor. Both brought shame to the program. It's being turned around now.

You are right, I'm inspired. Michigan will take the field in their Big House and play the best ball they have played all year. Michigan has nothing to lose and the team will play their hearts out for the seniors. It will be a close game, but Michigan will walk away with the win on a game ending field goal. The buckeye tears will taste sweet!

GO BLUE!
