I believe we match up really well against the Yankee's in a 5 game series since we were able to set our rotation ahead of time instead of possibly starting the ALCS in a seven game series without our 2 big guns starting game 1 and 2. With that said I believe the Yankee's pose the greatest threat to us getting to the WS so IMO facing them in round 1 favors our pitching match-ups.
In a 5 game series the match-ups would look like so...
Game 1 @NY - Verlander vs CC
Game 2 @NY - Fister vs Nova
Game 3 @DET - Scherzer vs Garcia
Game 4 @DET - Porcello vs CC
Game 5 @NY - Verlander vs Nova

You think CC can go on 3 days rest but not JV? JV is the ultimate horse.

No pitcher ever doesn't try to get the batter out; no fielder ever doesn't try to make the play, every hitter goes up to the plate trying to get a hit...cmlfactor said:Maybe this is the Angels' "revenge" for the whole Weaver incident. Wouldn't put it past some of those tools...
