So anyways, following BCS on AMC Mondays this season is Lodge 49. It's Wyatt Russell's first lead role, I think.

Seen the first two episodes - very weird, I like it so far.

Anyone else been watching?

Gyllenhall Has been nominated for an Oscar; both Sally Field and Goldie Hawn have each won at least one Oscar and been nominated for at least one other. I would think they are all considered to be talented first regardless of hot or not.

Goldie Hawn is a legendary Hollywood icon. She isn?t considered to be hot because Hollywood tries to pass her off as hot; She?s considered it to be hot because a lot of people consider her to be hot.

I would say you’re right- your and Goldie’s romantic paths are unlikely to cross.

This is a fun conversation because it’s a matter of taste and subjectivity and nobody is going to be right or wrong.

I will say that I don’t think Hollywood ever foisted Sally Field as hot.

She debuted in 1965 as high school beach girl Gidget-don’t get me wrong they marketed her as cute-but I don’t think Hollywood was pushing hot back in them days. Also when she was the flying nun. Cute but not hot.

Sally Field and Goldie Hawn are just about the same age.

Meg Ryan and Maggie Gyllenhaal are both more cute than hot.

I think the only actress on your list who would be considered hot would have been Goldie Hawn.

The others are -cute - the pretty girl next-door, the girl you take home to meet mother, and so forth.

You know what really sucked about that movie?

Nobody asked Mrs. Lincoln (as portrayed by the eternally hot, or at least as Hollywood would want you to believe, Sally Field) whether or not she at least enjoyed the play.

Heat was a great movie, despite Al Pacino's overacting. That's all I have to say about that.

Meg Ryan was definitely promoted as a hot chick for a while - cute in a lot of movies but she was definitely the Hollywood hot "It" girl for a while.

Anyway, Maggie Gyllenhaal isn't even cute in my estimation - one could make a defensible case for becoming a gay shepherd and sleeping w/ her brother somewhere in the Rockies if she was one's only female option.
