Romney is a douche bag and so unbelievably inept as a candidate, given he's been preparing his entire life to run for President.

Why are all the SilverSpoonRichGuys so bad at running for office, anyways? Clearly the world revolves around TV ads and polls (unless you're in Clarkston, in which case the world revolves around Kid Rock and the price of gas at the Kum N Go) but these rich guys never seem to get it right, regardless of intent.

you can cross off community organizing as a qualification for the presidency

Or giving help to the US Consulate in Libya when they ask, even beg for help. Nice job Pres.

then I'll change mine to NH

Best pick of the poll options. But for a write in?...don't know where you'd look for aggregate numbers, but just checking a few of the smallest states...nope, I think NH is the best pick there is.

I wonder is CA is the worst pick...yeah. CA beats Texas.

yeah. that would've been a lot different under Romney. He would've used "the force" to know that the State Dept. wasn't doing their job and responding to the ambassador's requests for extra security.

then he would've, well, probably ignored it, but maybe if Fox News had a chance to script it, he would've recruited a bunch of right-wing former Navy Seals and Army Rangers - who don't take government hand outs and started their own successful businesses with nothing more than the $5,000 they saved up from hard work scrubbing latrines - and they would've landed outside the embassy in Benghazi just after the attack commenced and taken out "the bad guys" just like you see in the movies.

wow. I should write for Fox News...

The name you're looking for is Blackwater.

FoxNews was humping the hell out of the Libyan story all day long yesterday while every other cable media outlet was covering .......the destruction and recovery in NY/NJ.

It's almost bizarre at times what Fox chooses to cover. Afraid that Christie and Obama seen together ....let's focus on those towelheads in the middle east ...that'll scare 'em good.

follow their twitter feed.

doesn't seem so bizarre.

They love it when some atheist sues over prayer in school or a cross in a public space. Loooooooove it.

If a minority (especially black or muslim, or ESPECIALLY a black muslim) does something terrible? worth a tweet.

did a government worker screw something up? post office fail to deliver something, and some yokel complained about it? worth a tweet?

did Wall Street crash the real estate market amidst massive fraud, get bailed out by the very government they purport to hate, and get a pass on any actual prosecution for wrongdoing?

MEH... not newsworthy...

Towel heads? They're talking about American deaths.

I guess American deaths mean little to you. I bet your parents are proud.

haha, what a crock.

let's pick and choose which ones we give more coverage to... the ones in NY/NJ or the ones in Benghazi.

Fox knows when American deaths mean something and when they don't. focusing on the casualties of Bush's wars isn't done. But when we need a little American blood to justify bombing someone, or tarring a democratic politician, there's always some available somewhere.

Are American soldiers not worth as much as Americans in NY/NJ? I've been saying for days, "get out" when the weather was going to get bad. It never makes sense to why people stay at their homes in situations like this. Soldiers don't have a choice, all surprised Attacks.

I shouldn't have to explain why this is a bogus argument. I mean to you or tsmith, maybe, but I'm guessing the people of average or better-than-average intelligence who post here would understand the absurdity of your post.

guys of average or better intelligence... what are your thoughts?

Why do people assume that everyone has the chance to get out? I have been through a category 4 that wasn't suppose to hit. The hurricane changed directions in the last hour. Some people can't leave due to means, disabilities, and a handful of other reasons. I think the point he is trying to make is that while at least 92 American have died from this storm, Fox news continues on their bias of 4 Americans that died in an attack.

On here, Fox gets bashed whatever they cover. And babies and disabilities matter more. I know that. But don't make it sound like Fox News is the devil because they talk about Libya. They've had plenty of talk about the Storm and Sandy/disaster. They just happen to talk about Libya yesterday. Why is that such a big deal?

Why do people assume that everyone has the chance to get out? ...

that's one factor... there are a lot of myths out there that you need to accept as true before you can get to where Fox News wants you to be.

Myth 1. everyone who lives on the coast anywhere is just sitting there with a car or a bus ticket, or other means of leaving. they also have a place to go, and enough money to pay for a week long motel or hotel without this being a financial burden. and they don't have to worry about being fired from a job if they decide to leave and their boss is requiring them to work up to the day the hurricane hits. and they are all democrats.

Result: so it's their own fault if they drown in the storm surge or are killed by falling trees/fires/downed power lines, and you do not need to be concerned for them. maybe pray for their souls, but not really, because they are democrats, and you wouldn't want to be around democrats when you go to heaven, right?

also: Myth 1 was even more true for New Orleans, even though the people there were relatively poorer than NYC.

Myth 2. If an American dies as a result of terrorism*, this is the worst thing ever, and deserves endless coverage. and if the terrorist attack can be blamed on a democratic politician or official, it should be. If a republican is in office, it's automatically not his fault, even if he ignored repeated warnings from his own intelligence officials like Bush did, but instead is a reason to bomb some people who are muslim.

*terrorism here only includes islamic terrorists. people who kill doctors who perform abortions, bomb planned parenthood clinics, or attack Federal government buildings/installations are a little bit wrong-headed, but we would not really go out of our way to criticise them, because we actually agree with the result, and really don't have a problem with violence, as long as it serves our political ends.

result: you're going to have to keep hearing about the Benghazi attack on Fox until we can find something else to bash Obama about. better get used to it.

I don't see a problem covering Libya, the problem is when it receives the majority of the coverage when there is bigger recent news going on.

the majority of Americans daily lives was deeply affected by what happened in Benghazi. I mean, you have people across the countries still sitting there shocked... shocked... totally unable to function or go about their daily lives.

getting assigned to an embassy, either as a diplomat or security, and getting killed in a terrorist attack is something that is extremely likely to happen to ANY AMERICAN.

And while someone at the State Dept screwed up and didn't respond to the Ambassador's request for additional security... get this: that person reports to Hilary Clinton... who Barack Obama appointed!!!!

just let that sink in for a second. then you'll understand why this is the biggest deal ever, and we need to discuss it ad nauseum...
