Who are you rooting for tonight?

Bingo. That argument would be as retarded as the person using it.

Exactly, which is why I said I don't need the Tigers to play NY for some sort of challenge. Winning playoff/WS games will be challenge enough no matter who it is against.

Home advantage would be nice just for the fact we're not very good on the road.

So torn on this...

Facing Baltimore and having home field would be great and if nothing else for the simple fact of knowing that the Yankees are OUT. JV would probably start game 3 on the road which is great considering his record at Camden.

BUT facing the Yankees JV would pitch game 3 at home which would be good if we're down 0-2 to get us right back in the series. Bad news is that he'd probably take game 7 in New York and that ballpark has been his nemesis so far. But the chance to beat NY for the 3rd time in 7 years in just such and awesome prospect...

I think I'm going to have to call this one a toss up....just hope for another extra-inning marathon...

Just for the fact this team is so much better at home then on the road I have to go with the Home Field Advantage of playing Baltimore. It would line up as Cml posted with Verlander starting game 3 in Balitmore where he is 5-0 in 6 career starts with an ERA of 1.36 and a WHIP of 0.82.

Team is so much better at home but the Yankees are so banged up.. Baltimore is alot younger... I am ok with either team I guess...

He means the 28th world series championship

This.

I assumed it was obvious, because most Yankees fans love to brag about 27 whenever something happens like they get eliminated from the playoffs.

Just to add something to the thread.

Innings pitched heading into tonight's game 5:

Baltimore: (Have to remember the extra play in game)
Starters IP: 30.1 (488 Pitches Thrown)
Bullpen IP: 20.2 (310 Pitches Thrown)

New York:
Starters IP: 30.2 (418 Pitches Thrown)
Bullpen IP: 11.1 (144 Pitches Thrown)

Tigers:
Starters IP: 34.2 (542 Pitches Thrown)
Bullpen IP: 9.0 (152 Pitches Thrown)

Tigers need to keep that trend. Hopefully the offense goes off a couple games, like 8 or 10 runs.

Well the first 1/3rd of this game has been like watching fruit flies fuck...

Boooooooorinnnnnggggg

Baltimore. I despise the Yankees.

besides, we get HFA if the Orioles win. That's huge

For a game 5, up 1-0, their crowd is awfully quiet.

That hit by the O's was close but it nicked the foul pull. Yanks fortunate. Should be 1-1.

Spanks up 2 nutton after 6, it's going to be the spanks and that's just fine with me.
