Why are people surprised by Sparty's behavior?

i wouldn't say it hurts. I'm upset that MIchigan lost. What fan wouldn't be?

That being said, the dirty stuff pulled has nothing to do with it, win or lose.

Not surprising you're too dumb to understand that.

btw, neither one of us plays. I didn't get my ass kicked and I won't get a chance next year to do anything but cheer. Funny how you actually act like you are out there doing something.

Let me get this straight, you're the one making blanket statements that no one should be surprised that MSU fans like cheap play, implying that all MSU fans don't care if our players go over the line?

"That is exactly how the MSU players, MSU coaches, and MSU fans act everyday."

Really? You're an idiot if you think that and you are looking at this game through emotionally colored glasses. You got beat by a much more physical team today. A couple plays crossed the line, but then again several other plays on both sides that didn't get called crossed the line too. There were several blatant chop blocks I saw where the defender was already being engaged, but you know what it's Football and the team that 's more physical usually wins and that happened today.

So instead of taking your medicine and giving Michigan State Football it's due you choose to insult their fans, players, and coaches. As if Michigan is above playing tough and rough football.

Hey, if that's what will help you get to sleep tonight, knock yourself out, but know that the players on your team know they got their asses kicked fair and square and will work hard to make sure they account themselves better next year.

Chop Block.. Oh like the one that put Mike Martin out verses MSU last year. Your coaches teach dirty play... They even admit it... Chop block masters are the Spartans but an name change has been requested.

Thug U. You fuckers put Martin out for weeks last year. So don't give me any shit about chop blocking..

"There were several blatant chop blocks I saw where the defender was already being engaged, but you know what it's Football and the team that 's more physical usually wins and that happened today."

You should be a referee johnny, I mean they were "blatant" calls that were missed. Perhaps you are trying to rationalize your teams dirty play.

I have said that Spartan fans are animals with no souls. They eat their young and torture cats for amusement. They know three letters in the alphabet "M" "S" "U." Duffy was a crappy coach with a drinking problem. (That's not hyperbole, actually). "Gracious," "Forthright," and "Magnanimous," are words in text books not found on the MSU campus because they have nothing to do with planting crops or breeding livestock.

They advise us M fans and alums to "deal with" losing four straight. Remember: They have to "deal with" being Spartan fans, so make allowances.

Michigan got beat by a better team. The only ones whining about rough play are fans like you. Not the players, not the Press...

Johnny 2x2 you're a dufus.

The press WAS saying Sparty was dirty - immediately. both Spielman and Meyer kept commenting that it was unimaginable that Golsten wasn't run.

Golsten will be suspended by the B1G Monday morning.

but not by Dantonio...in fact, I bet Dantonio says something about how the suspension is just wrong and they appeal it...if they can.

This is Sparty. That is how 95% of them act. 95% of their fans are proud of how their players played today. That is exactly how the MSU players, MSU coaches, and MSU fans act everyday. That is how they play. 95% of the fanbase was thrilled when they saw each and every personal foul. They loved it!

People need to realize that this is how it is. Sure, there are a few Sparties that aren't like that, but they are the vast minority!

You sound like a poor sport to me. Where do you get these percentages anyway ? Quit crying about it, you lost, it has nothing to do with the fans. Grow up, act your age and quit being such a baby.

Why do you MSU fans get the idea that I am crying about anything? I'm not complaining. I'm just pointing out this truth. It might sound like poor sportsmanship to you, but I think poor sportsmanship is punching players, twisting player's necks at the bottom of piles, and body slamming QB's after the play is dead. I've been saying this for years about the Sparty fan base. It isn't a complaint to call a spade a spade. Its just pointing something out. I don't expect it to change. I'm just pointing out the obvious.

Nope, I clearly said around 95%, not all. I guess you have trouble with reading comprehension. I know this because I went to MSU. I have a degree from there. I still live in the Lansing area and frequent E. Lansing quite a bit. I encounter their attitudes and actions on a weekly basis. Then you came into this thread and acted like a douche, so you pretty much proved me right at least about you, so good job.

Why do you keep saying that I got beat? I didn't get beat. I sat on my couch and watched a football game. What don't you get about that? I don't play. Michigan got beat, not me. What a stupid thing to say. YOU and I don't play. You didn't win anything. I didn't lose anything.

Give Michigan State credit? I already said multiple times that MSU was the better team...again, this behavior had nothing to do with winning or losing. I'm on the Michigan board talking with Michigan fans. I don't need to give anyone credit. I keep seeing posts on this board and others where Michigan fans seemed surprised by the behavior of Sparty saturday afternoon. I am simply saying that this is something I've seen for years and it should not come as a surprise.

Again, not surprising that you have no clue what I'm talking about. This isn't a complaint. Its like saying the sky is blue.

Try to consider that you're posting on a Michigan msg board on a saturday night after 'your team' beat MIchigan...you can bet that I would be nowhere near any MSU board if MIchigan had won.

He obviously isn't dealing with the loss very good johnny, to resort to calling out a University's fans because you lost is cheap, low and with out respect, everything UM is not SUPPOSED to be.

Not calling out anyone. I'm discussing it with Michigan fans on the Michigan msg board. Think about why you are here and what you would expect to find here. I'm not out in the street.

You have no idea what UM is supposed to be. People in the gutter can't see out of it.

Hey they refused to shake our player's hands afterward, but I'm sure it was emotional for them and they're kids and it was loud. And yes, when they left the field the MSU fans were taunting them with chants of , Little brother, littler brother." At least Hoke shook Dantonio's hand.

It's the arrogance of a few fans that is hard to believe. You're grabbing onto anything to still feel superior. You got beat, you got whooped, it's 4 years in a row and there is nothing left to say except that "we'll get you next year." Instead you'd rather insult a whole program so you can somehow hold onto an undeserved arrogance of some sort even after having your team humbled on a national stage. Suck it up and root for your team win or lose, talk some smack for sure, but don't still be an arrogant asshole, there's nothing to be arrogant about anymore.

I don't understand why you guys keep focusing on this handshake thing. This isn't hockey or high school basketball. There is no tradition in football of players shaking other players hands. The coaches do it, but there is absolutely no precedent of players shaking other players hands. Sure, its done every now and then, but its not done in all kinds of games.

Again, Why would any Michigan player respect any MSU player after yesterday's game?

Yeah, it was a dirty play, but it's football and there are dozens of dirty plays not focused on each game. Try telling me that if you watch the game again you wont see linemen trying to chop block Gholston while he's already being blocked. Gholston crossed the line on a couple plays, but don't act like Michigan wasn't out there cutting guys left and right all game. There were several times I yelled at my TV and a few times MSU players limped off the field from it. That's football, State players crossed the line more often, that's why they got so many penalties that kept Michigan in it, but don't act like it was anything totally egregious. The team that was flying around and creaming guys all game got flagged more often like they should, but don't make a federal case out of run of the mill rough play just in order to hang onto something after a devastating defeat.

Having that number of personal fouls while MIchigan has none is egregious. Having a coach say after the game that that was what they intended to do is egregious.

IF Michigan had done any of what you are talking about in the amount you are implying, they would have been penalized for it at least once. I don't think Michigan got a single personal foul penalty, though.

This is a typical response from a poor sport after his team lost. Most of the MSU fans and grads I know don't act like this. Because you know some MSU fans that act like this doesn't make your percentages a truth. Pretty sad you have to stoop to this level to make yourself feel better.

They did have a personal foul. After UM failed to do anything with the first turnover they comitted apersonal fould on the punt that put MSU back up where they lost the ball. Not that it matters, just to prove you wrong.

It's not a personal foul here or there that anyone should be complaining about. That stuff happens. It's bad enough, and it's embarrassing, but it happens.

It's the coaches reactions that set the tone for the program. It's the number of fouls, players doing it more than once, and coaches openly encouraging it that's the difference.

MSU is a joke in every way. That college is filled with meat heads.
