Guys who might be available with the 23rd pick... who would you want the Lions to take?

Not a fan of drafting a safety that high with two really good ones on the roster already.

Out of the guys you have listed i picked armstead.....dude is a beast and watched him tons being on the west coast. Perriman would be my next choice and he's who i have mocked to us. Id go wr over rb in rd 1...plenty of talent later in the draft at that position. Landon collins would be my "other" choice. Let dig sit and think about it. ...

Ngata on the inside and Armstead on the out...Quack Quack Quack here comes the Duck attack!

I'm not a fan of Armistead. He could be good, for sure, but he needs a lot of development first. He looks more like Dion Jordan to me than Ezekial Ansah (raw DEs with loads of physical talent).

Of the players listed, La'el Collins makes the most sense to me. He could plug in at LG right away and be good. I don't think he actually makes it at OT in the NFL, but that's fine for the Lions. If the team can solidify the O-line, it makes everybody else on offense better (moreso than a third WR or RB). And I think he's just better value than Goldman or Jaren Collins.

Not one idea has been mentioned so far I would be really against, and most of them, I'd be pretty happy about.

Maybe in 2016 the Lions let the fan on this board run the draft and see how we do?

DE Alvin Dupree or CB Kevin Johnson. If not them Peat or Collins

Gotta dream right

Honestly, I'm cool with any DT or OL that doesn't have a major injury in his recent past. I'll be really disappointed if we end up taking a RB/WR in the first or second round, though.

This.

Langford from MSU in the 3rd for a RB. Fits this system extremely well.

Unless someone unexpected falls I see the Lions going either MG3 or Tevin Coleman in the first. I wouldn't be surprised if the went Coleman over MG3 either.

I would be surprised because I think Gordon's style compliments the offense and what Bell brings better than Coleman's does.. but it would be hard to argue either as a bad pick.

Indiana doesn't have the strongest oline and he still ran for 2K, given the state of our line that seems to have swung the scale.

With the 23rd pick in the 2015 NFL draft the Detroit Lions select.....someone 90% of the board will hate. :)

Except for last year, most on the board have supported the R1 picks. To fault the board for hating the Ebron pick is sillier than the board hating it.

And outside of Ebron I don't recall the board being overly negative about any pick. Sure there will always be those who oppose a specific pick, but only the Millen era do I recall as high a overall hatred for a pick as Ebron, which in a way justifies the hatred for it. That is how fucked up it was. I really hope that is not repeated this year.
