Stafford is a borderline top 5 QB.

And I don't care who QBs any other team, we got a good one here in Detroit. We should praise him.

1 in 50 before Matt, 0-6 after Matt. I don't see an improvement.

In no order here are the QBs that are above him.

Brees
Luck
Manning
Rodgers
Brady
Ben
Ryan
Rivers
Romo
Wilson

Stafford is in this group

Stafford
Cam
Dalton
Flacco
Palmer

Stafford has age on his side so there is potential for him to move up as some of those guys retire.

Lions are just constantly screwed over by external factors every year, especially against better teams. Only explanation for why a Super Bowl caliber team could lose.

The problem with this is that some QB who aren't in either group played better than Matt or at least as good this past season. The second group you listed could and probably should be bigger..

I agree. Blizzard, AC turned up too high at Ford's Field, wind at their face during the 4th quarter. It's just a bad string of luck.

Really? All I see are a bunch of overrated QBs in favorable situations. If Stafford had Seattle's D and running game, he'd put up MVP-type numbers every season.

I thought he already put up MVP type numbers every season? Matt>Wilson. Detroit>>Seattle.

Yes, I could have easily put in Tannehill, Cutler Kaepernick, Eli and even Mark Sanchez but right now I think Stafford is a little better than those guys.

Tannehill kicked Matt's ass last season.

yes...but it was only one season. Stafford had one really good season as well. The one thing going for Tannehill is he has improved every year in the league. Comp%, yards, TDs and QB rating. Another year like 2014 and he will easily leapfrog Matt on my list.

But based on last year, Tannehill at the very least belongs with Matt. Of course I'd also list Ryan Fitzgerald as someone who kicked Matt's ass. Alex Smith. Bridgewater at least in the same group. 2011 was a long time ago..

There are no lists and if there are, they don't matter. Stafford is a good QB for Detroit. That is all that matters.

11 wins and he can get us to the Super Bowl. He played well in both playoff games. Refs decided to hand Dallas the game.

Agreed. No one I'd rather have than Stafford.

Hell yeah, SB here we come. Just need good officials, health, good weather.
