Worst concert of all time?

because its the cool thing to do....goes back to the 60's.....and continues today, they have no clue on the issues...its just the culture

You post a lot of stupid shit, but the ratio of informed "artists" who lean left to those who lean right is at least 10:1

There are acoustic guitarists playing open mics in Austin, TX that would smoke you in a debate - ( and no, you couldn't Google the internet while debating)

The idea of Kid Rock holding a fundraiser for the GOP is a new concept, set to copy the left's use of musicians and the long history of musicians and actors using their "platform" to highlight a cause.

No different than Prophet Tebow pretending to be a football player so his "supporters" can maximize the publicity he gets for his "cause."

To more genuinely reply, KAWDUP ....think about it.

Artists, musicians, actors ...the vast majority come from working/middle class and are TALENTED, not merely wealthy. Mitt isn't born a Romney and he's a Joe Schmo business man at best, but hardly struggling because he was given everything - he just didn't lose it.

You can't hack it as a musician and you're doing something else to pay the bills, and not likely CEO or even middle management in white collar America.

Take that basement trash band avatar -- that's a picture of a nail banger who liked to fuck around on the guitar, but hardly a talented musical artist.

Dixie Chicks appeal to the country fan but are ostracized for having a political opinion inconsistent with the majority of fans but Hank Williams Jr is more than happy to spoit his political views ...aimed at his fanbase and audience.

Why the fuck any average American should care what any athlete or musician thinks is pathetic to begin with, on face.

I completely agree. I wasn't trying to infer all that much political about anything I said. I know, it might be hard to believe that is true, but, instead I put a very high value on human life, and my comments are more directed toward my belief in the sanctity of human life.

Just so you know, I was also arguing that sometime what people say and mean to be humorous, others take more seriously - not that I actually care what any entertainer has to say about the politcal landscape.

I realize that, KAWDUP. I suppose I interpret MC's remark to be akin to someone who says, "Holy shit, that is the worst burger in the world!!" Clearly this remark is intended to exaggerate and state a point and not to be taken literally.

And FWIW, Frank Sinatra would be one from before the liberal, hippie movement to use his stage for political means. It's stupid that people idolize famous people. I'm sure Kid Rock was a scumbag loser in high school just like his lead guitarist Kenny Olsen was when I was in HS with him and he hung out with my scumbag older stepbrother.

But now ....Kid Rock "matters" (more to some than others)

Only because "artists" left outnumber "artists" right 100-1 to begin with. Maybe 1000-1. So you could say uninformed "artists" who lean left are 1000-1.

HBO's The Rat Pack starring Ray Liotta, Don Cheadle, William Peterson and Joe Mongetna chronicles Sinatra's doing shows with his Rat Pack buddies for the benefit of Democratic Presidential candidate John F. Kennedy.

It's tough to get a copy of it; however, I think the entire film has been posted (in about 11 or so segments) to youtube.

I bought a copy from the Warner Brothers' store, which, somewhat ironically, is located in Hell.

Hell Michigan I mean.

I grew up just outside of Hell.

Sure it does. Bottom line, many many artists don't know a thing but go a certain way because they don't know better.

Not sure when artists were being mentioned if that also included Hollywood people but I've heard one story of when an actor mentioned he was a Republican other Hollywood types egged his house. Probably that leftist Robert Redford.

But back to point, most Hollywood actors are dumb as shit and no nothing about politics and go left because it's more popular. Since most are left, ergo the dumbshit lefts outnumber the dumbshit rights.

. . . and I was OK with that, until he posted that it was an "entirely resaonable" position. Wouldn't have called him out on it except for that.
