Report: Lions and Suh NOT close to a deal

Based on how they deal with people, their previous position coaching experience, their play books and their style.

What do you know about the Jason Michael playbook?
Having Brees makes any coach look smarter.

Prove me wrong with what? Acting like a little child?

Caldwell is 26-22 as a head coach. He was a train wreck at Wake. Good coaches don't get canned after 3 years. Good coaches don't go from being a head coach to a QB coach. The guy does not compare to the coaches that have been mentioned time and time again in this thread. Maybe he will, and I hope he proves me wrong, but don't get angry when I tell you he doesn't compare to elite coaches. That's just a fact.

So go ahead and fire away with the F bombs and name calling because that's all you got.

Wake? Who gives a flying fuck what his record was at Wake? And i never said he was elite. I said he was a good coach, but all i get back is he was good because of Manning. lmao. Weak. He has 2 rings and brings a championship mentality. You give me Wisenhunt who had Warner and one of the best WRs in the game at the time. I call you out on it and you give me nothing as usual...lol. Fn joke

And if you don't think the Lions settled on Caldwell, you are out of your friggin mind. If he was their #1 choice, they could have had him the first day the coaching search started. Not really hard to put the pieces together and figure out that after Wisenhunt said no, Caldwell came on board immediately.

I don't really give a shit if they "settled" for Caldwell. Why do you? It's completely irrelevant and Wisenhunt has done jack anyways.

If Wisenhunt has done jack... Then Caldwell has done equally jack...

Enough of these circular arguments, they are getting exhausting. Caldwell is not a super bowl caliber coach, which was the initial argument. I'll go ahead and settle with him being okay, and call it a day.

At this time I'd take it if he's better than Gym Shorts. And call it a day..

I hope Caldwell is just a figurehead and the coordinators run the show. They're the ones I have hope for since nothing about Caldwell impresses me.

True. I'm intrigued my Austin. I have high hopes for him.

We are on the same page Grandy. When we hired these young guys it turned me on to the hire. The stage very well may be to big for them but we need to take a chance on some young blood raised in the modern game. Nothing got me lower than Gunther Cunningham's fearsome foursome defense.

Grandy, it's not working with my favorite college school (Michigan). Your head coach needs to pull his weight, you can't rely on coordinators. Hopefully Caldwell is more in the game than Hoke.

michigan's problem is the same as the lions. no depth, poor qb play, poor pass defense and lack of talent.

whisenhunt single handedly resurrected rivers career last year...much better coaching job than Caldwell has ever done. And wana talk to about injuries and lack of talent at WR.....check out the chargers roster last year.

So you agree...Caldwell needs a superstar qb in order to be successful. Then what is he doing here?

I don't agree with that all. You do though. Only because you're completely obsessed about Stafford failing.

Caldwell is here because he's a good football coach. Why is he here? Only a retard would ask that question lol. Why the fuck do you think he's here, you dummy? Wtf
