The official MICHIGAN-South Carolina game thread

I came to the conclusion that I make horrible wife material, therefore it is best that I remain single.

You know who else has?

Every Hallmark Christmas movie heroine in Hallmark Christmas movie history.

Yet every single Christmas, Candace Cameron and Danica McGellar and Lacey Chebert find their one and only at the moment they least expect it.

Happy New Year.

LOL, you've watched that many Hallmark Christmas movies, eh?

Nah, no man needs to be subjected to my "winning" personality on a regular basis, and as I get older I get increasingly irritated with humanity's drama/shenanigans as well. I'm good as is.

Happy New Year to you, too. Stay warm if you live in the frozen tundra as I do.

Talent won't mean much if the coaching sucks. I'd really hate for the staff to ruin good kids (see: Hoke with Devin Gardner).

Peters was awful today. Just awful. He held onto the ball too long, and seemed to get worse as the game went on. He had plenty of time on most plays, but seemed lost. Especially in the 2nd half. And that int in the endzone was the dagger for him as far as starting next season. Throw the ball away for cryin out loud!!

The receivers continued dropping balls hitting them right in the hands, so even if they get a competent qb next season, if the receivers can't catch the fricken ball it will all be for nothing. And the excuse about having the wrong personnel in winding up handing the ball off to a tight end who then fumbles the ball? What? Why didn't anyone on the field or sideline question that at the time? This team needs more than just a qb.

DPJ needs to learn to let the punt go if it is inside the 10. Just let it go. If they down it at the 1 that is still better than dropping it and having it recovered.

After looking stout in the first half the defense just collapsed in the second half. Just fucking collapsed. And I don't buy that they were tired. They need to be able to play a full game, not just a half. I am sick and tired of them giving up long first downs. And enough with the blitzing every down. Clearly SC figured out how to beat the blitz in the second half. And what is it with Mettellus? That late hit was just stupid and he has been doing that kind of shit all season. Someone needs to smack that kid upside the head.

It is like they all went into the locker room at the half and smoked dope or something.

Okay, I am done with football until summer. I hope the basketball and softball teams have good seasons.

Love Hallmark, but I have friends there and I do a little business with them, especially with
their Magic Christmas movies (after all, I am Tinsel, right?)

I don't know what's going on with these kids. Poor technique, poor discipline (that Mettellus hit just about had me throwing the remote at the TV), lack of will to win, all of it just screamed "UGH!"

The problem is that I'm not sure if this program has the self-awareness to realize they need to get their heads out of their asses.

Oh, I missed this.

Thanks Sweetie, but I live in Hollywood. I moved here 30 and change years ago after I graduated from Michigan.

OK, stay away from the fires, then.

I have a friend in northern California and the wildfires were too close to him for my liking, though I don't think he had to evacuate.

Seriously Harbaugh looked loss during SC'S comeback . I'm pissed Jim has not been better today and all season .

Chris Carter ripped into Harbaugh. Said he is the most overrated coach in college and that he has no offensive creativity after a month of practice. That about says it all.

The most important thing to remember today is that we're a basketball school and Lacey Chabert has great tits.

If she were a foot taller, I'd be very fond of her.

I don't mind the shortness.

So, this is pretty damning. Man our offense is atrocious.

When asked if there was a moment where the Gamecocks? defense felt they had solved the Wolverines, cornerback JaMarcus King gave an affirmative answer. He felt that way after Michigan?s first two drives.

?They gave us everything,? King said. ?After that, we knew we could stop everything.?

Why? King felt the Wolverines were playing to their tendencies ? running a lot of the same routes over and over again.

?The choice route where the receiver runs a mesh and the tight end runs a dig,? King said. ?So they ran that probably 85 percent of the time, and they ran a lot of stop routes on the back side.

Similar answers were provided by linebacker TJ Brunson and defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw, as well.

Brunson knew from certain formations whether Michigan was going to run the ball and where the Wolverines would run it. He could also tell what to expect from personnel groupings. That allowed the defense to simply read their keys and ?make plays, execute.?

?We got in the right calls in the right positions,? Brunson said, ?and everyone executed for the most part.?

Michigan moved the ball well enough to win. This is silly. The game was on the verge of being 26-3...It might've gotten even worse than that if Higdon doesn't fumble. If they had it all figured it out, then that was pretty bad that they couldn't stop it until the point that Higdon fumbled.

Not saying Michigan deserved to win or anything like that...just that this idea that they knew exactly what Michigan was going to do after the 2nd drive of the game, but still had a lot of trouble stopping them is just silly.

33 rush attempts for 74 yards on the day. 21-45 passing for 4.5 yards per pass. 2-18 on third downs. 5 total turnovers.

We got our points primarily because SC made dumbfuck mistakes (turnovers/muffed punts/penalties). Even when we started with good field position we more often than not settled for a FG. As a whole the offense had a very bad performance.

Exactly. Under 300 total yards and we were 2/18 on 3rd down. The offense was putrid.

97.1 the Ticket is just ripping the handoff to the tight end Mckeon With Hill out. They mentioned again that the biggest issue with Michigan is on the line and lack of depth on the line. Three guys were out yesterday and again it showed in the play calling inside the 10 when Drevno didn't want to run the ball. Bussell-Beaty was sent home, Bredeson was out. Kugler was hurt, and I am not sure how many plays he played, and I do not remember seeing Hill out there at all. They also mentioned that after 15 extra practices Peters regressed. But also it was not all his fault because the WR cannot get open. We do need a WR coach . Still inside the 10 we should try and run behind Cole. I know Higdon fumbled but those play calls before the int were just not that good.

Yeah, I posted in the other thread that Bredeson was out, Hill was out, Kugler gave it a go, but had to sit

No idea what happened to JBB

Still no excuse for the shitshow.

I just wonder what that turd would've been saying if Michigan hadn't decided to start coughing up the football every 3 seconds...

Same guy that dropped the int that problem seals the osu game . But Now After YESTERDAYS 19-3 COLLASPE I see no lead as safe now verses Browns crappy defense that seems to get figured out as games go. Defense is to blame just as much as the offense in at least 4 of the 5 Michigan losses.

The play calling has been putrid all season on offense . I just do not understand our OC. He seems to freak out inside the 20.
