DD traded Fister, (a top 30 MLB starter) for a prospect, and a Loogy, since Lombotomy was obviously not important if they traded him for 9 days of Rip Van Winkle.

We gave up Frank Catalanotto, Francisco Cordero, Bill Haselman, Gabe Kapler, Justin Thompson, and Alan Webb for Juan Gone, Danny Patterson, and Greg Zaun.

Not one of those players except Cordero was worth a wet newspaper.

How was it worse than giving up a top 30 pitcher with 2 years left on his contract?
