Game #24: Michigan 75 Purdue 73 Final

Michigan women’s coach beat MSU Sunday in east Lansing 71-61.

With the victory, head coach Kim Barnes Arico has tied John Beilein as the winningest coach in Michigan basketball history—men's or women's—with 278 wins in Ann Arbor.

was reading that there's another milestone pending, just up the road, for our MSU friends.

If MSU beats IU tonight, Tom Izzo will set a new record for Big Ten wins. He's currently tied with Bob Knight.

Izzo's first Big Ten win was @IU against Bob Knight in his first season at MSU, which is kinda interesting. From the write-up, it sounds like Bob Knight had a soft spot for Izzo, even though he was a an absolute monster to like everyone else.
 
They might burn a couple couches in East Lansing tonight, for old times sake. Izzo will shed a tear, both at the memories and because of the toxic fumes burning upholstery gives off.
 
Burnett has struggled from three in recent games.
Gayle Jr misses both free throws. He is struggling badly.
 
We really needed that three from Wil. Smith is killing us.
 
What is a Goldin doing ? Another freaking turnover. To much dribbling.
 
Gayle Jr is so Bad. 8th turnover already. Botches an easy pass.
Finally he tips in a bucket. Lead back up to 8. No defense.
 
just awful defending by us on the three line.
Purdue is 5-11 .
Michigan 2-8.
3:03 left in the first half.

Goldin only 2 points on 1-3 shooting.
Wolf only 4 points on 1-2 shooting.
So far Purdue has them both contained.
Gayle jr actually has 10 points.
 
Finally Wolf hits a deep Three ! um’s third of the half.
 
Michigan 9-0 run to end the half . Trial 37-35. Purdue has 8 offensive rebounds. I yelled at Gayle Jr but he has 12 points on 4/6 shooting and 4/6 shooting free throws. Michigan is struggling from three.

Michigan 3/11 from three.
Purdue 5/14. From three. Missed last three.
 
Awful start to the half.by us. Goldin benched. Purdue getting every loose ball. Trail 46-38 and are taking bad shot after bad shot. Not even close on any of these threes. 1 for 5 from three to start the half. And that is our only bucket. 9-3 start for Purdue. Just don’t get the offense tonight. Not every good.
 
Why isn’t Donaldson running the offense . Another horrible possession by us. Over and over again. One bucket in six minutes.
 
Michigan now 4/17 from three. Just awful. It’s embarrassing how we can’t rebound the ball sometimes.
 
11:45 left trail 48-42. Tv timeout. Wish we could hit some threes. Or anything. Goldin still stuck at 2 points.
