Maybe he means his two terms resulted in the election of Trump, and the US is now stronger because it's protected by Russia and Putin.

If you don't think the country is in much better shape than it was before he took office then you're the delusional one.

The vast majority of comments, articles, and other sources from outside the US seemed to like Obama and are laughing their asses off at what happened in November (not just the election, but the wikileaks stuff as well).

So I wouldn't find it hard to believe that statement.

Can't say I know many folks whom are better off today than they where 8 years ago, thyself included..well financially and mentally anyway...

0%. When you have that basically for 8 years it's not hard. Add in the people who are no longer looking? Plus going from Bush to Obama is like going from rotten apples to bruised apples.

Question was about other countries though. Most countries think more highly of the US than they probably should.

So what's Trump after Obama?
Scorched earth ?
I wanted to say something else because I'm super sick this weekend but all I could come up with is diarrhea. Figured Scorched earth was better lol.

Don't know yet, could be. But since he's going to be my President I'll at least give him a chance..

this is legitimately delusional. the country is more divided than it's been in my lifetime, health insurance is a bigger mess than it was before he "reformed" it, the labor force participation rate is at multi-decade lows, our national debt has been doubled and our standing in the international community has been greatly diminished. So unless you think taking us down a notch to more equal footing with our allies and foes and weakening just about every other aspect of our social and economic structures makes us stronger, this statement is categorically false.

the fact that they like Obama is telling and who cares if they laugh at us for electing Trump - those people elected people like Merkel and Hollande.

The economy is much better than the deep recession it was in before he took office. We're no longer engaged in two costly wars. More people in the US than ever in history have health insurance, as shitty as it may be.

Your statements about our standing in the international community is just opinion, and therefore useless.

The debt part...well Obama did grow the debt pretty good, 68%. Compared to G.W Bush who grew it 101%. So Bush is the one who "doubled" the debt.

maybe if some of this were remotely accurate, it would be worth addressing but it's worth less than your opinion, which is worth shit, because it's completely incorrect.

other countries are supposed to like us, and we're not supposed to invade other countries. it's called diplomacy.

I think when all is said and one, history will look back on Obama as an average, steady president. good sailor on a calm sea

he didn't get us out of Afghanistan, or avoid wars completely (see the mess we made out of Libya under his tenure) but he didn't get us into any disastrous ones. And his administration was remarkably scandal free, despite the opposition party being there out digging in his garbage for 8 years.

George W. Bush would be the equivalent of a bad emperor... Commodous? Caligula? Trump might well turn out to be our Nero.

Economy only looks good because people gave up. The largest ever that isn't the work force any more. Over 8% not even looking anymore.. Plus the fed 0% helped a shit load. "..as shitty as it may be." - You mean like more than double in some area's .. who care cares if they have it.

Wrong. we're not supposed to do whatever it takes to make other countries like us. we are supposed to protect our interests at home and abroad.

well, on the "news for idiots" sites you read, sure there were lots of "scandals."

but in the realm outside Breitbart, Alex Jones, Fox News, Daily Caller, etc. where grownups live, there needs to be some actual evidence supporting a claim of law-breaking or corruption before it can be considered a scandal, not just a confused flowchart scribbled on a chalkboard by some wild-eyed lunatic...
