good point. I was thinking more of the struggle to raise offspring in the chaos of a post-apocalyptic wasteland, but it's not like there will be any courts around to enforce child support payments.

Yeah, the US is on the brink of war with Iran, China (a superflous comma) and Russia.

Instability within Iran and some nutjob not named Akmejinidad(sp) doing something is certainly a threat but I can make a pretty solid argument for why both China & Russia don't want trouble in Iran and I got the argument from the former head of the CIA.

But, back to the Mayan calendar .....

I saw the movie Apocalypto and those son of a bitch-in Mayan's will cut your hearts out by day and go in the back room at night and do a calendar about the end of times. Damn right I am worried about the axis shift or celestial alignment they have going on. As long as cable works after the crash I am all set..

Great movie for elliptical trainer workouts (and I would assume treadmills, but I don't have one). There's a solid 45 minute chase scene. 1st time I put that movie in and forwarded to the running, I picked up the pace by 20%.
