Any of you catch 0bama's remark that the 1-800 Healthcare Hotline is available in 150 languages? Really? 150? Who knew 150 spoken languages actually exist? Wouldn't you think that maybe a dozen or so might have sufficed?

From what I just read, there are approximately 6500 spoken languages. Maybe 150 is not so bad. I still think we would have survived with a dozen.

Imagine health care for everyone from birth that is non-profit and a benefit for all mankind..

And no religion, too.

you say that like it's a bad thing.

but I digress... other countries have universal health care, and they also have lower average health-care costs nationwide, and less burden on businesses to provide health care for their employees.

only a couple countries have managed this though... countries like Canada, the UK, France, Germany, Japan, Norway, Sweden, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Switzerland, Italy, Poland, Spain, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, and Australia.

Only MOST of those have higher life-expectancies than the U.S. though, so maybe you're right...

High minded utopian plans never work. They make things worse, as Obamacare is in the process of doing.

LOL, yes, "high-minded utopian plans" like universal health insurance never work, except in all those countries I cited. Retard

High minded utopian plans never work out for BigHealthcare, BigPharma. They make profit margins worse, as Obamacare is in the process of doing, and offering a solution to the uninsured.

Uncool to misquote, Thumb. Misquoting = Making stuff up. May I ask you to please either fix or delete your post #12?

Actually, I've decided there is no need for you to fix your misquote (post #12). It says something about you and paints the picture quite nicely. As your misquote suggests, 0bamacare is the "Mother of All" wealth redistribution schemes. Call it a confiscation scheme. Trouble is, the inevitable consequences will ensue and it's not going to be pretty. Job loss, hours reduced for those who maintain their jobs, insurance policies cancelled, premiums swiftly increased for many Americans in order to subsidize others. It's happening in front of your eyes but you're too blind to see. Or, maybe you do see and you're nevertheless down with the whole thing.

In any case, your misquote highlights the fact that you line up on the Taker side of the aisle so let's leave it as is for all to see and consider.

Actually, I've decided there is no need for you to fix your accurate quote (post #12). It says something about the right-wing and paints the picture quite nicely. As your quote suggests, Obamacare is the "Mother of All" universal healthcare programs. Call it good for the first step. Trouble is, big insurance companies don't like it and will rebel against it, and it's not going to be pretty. Job loss, hours reduced for those who maintain their jobs, insurance policies cancelled, premiums swiftly increased for many Americans in order to try to keep profits at a premium at the cost of others. It's happening in front of our eyes but we aren't too blind to see. Or, maybe Republicans do see and don't care anyways, but are down with the whole thing because that's who funds their campaigns.

In any case, your quote highlights the fact that you know more than a simple *OSU fan so let's leave it as is for all to see and consider my stupidity.

ftfy again.

For the purpose of keeping my inbox clean please no more misquote / ftfy in this thread. 1000 Thank you.

I'm not going to use profanity, and this is not a personal attack; it is, instead, a valid criticism, which to my understanding is a perfectly acceptable expression on the political board - seriously, you are a crybaby without equal.

When a person uses "fixed" or a facsimile thereof, it's admitted that a quote was changed; it's an acknowledgement that a quote was changed; therefore a hystrionic tirade about being "misquoted" is void of content.

People have been doing it on here and on ESPN forever.

Just so you know, I'm copied on complaints too. I read your complaint, and it was ridiculous; it was the silliest, most childish complaint I've ever seen.

Grow up.

And stop blowing up Mitch's mailbox.

And stop blowing up Mitch's mailbox.

I know you see Mich's box. I assume all the Moderators do. In my two years or whatever on the board, I've sent two messages. One today, when another member was abusing the tools of the forum and one a couple of months ago when you and Al were attempting to railroad me. That is hardly blowing up someone's box so please, Hollywood, keep it real.
