I know you see Mich's box. I assume all the Moderators do. In my two years or whatever on the board, I've sent two messages. One today, when another member was abusing the tools of the forum and one a couple of months ago when you and Al were attempting to railroad me. That is hardly blowing up someone's box so please, Hollywood, keep it real.

Listen................that's pure unadulterated swill, no one was railroading you, especially me.
I wait, wait and wait some more for any kind of problem to fix itself.
You, and more recently another poster, that you again sarcastically asked me as "Al' to give him bogus points, just couldn't stop, yet when I finally have to get involved because the world is wrong and never these types of posters, I am being unfair, or should go after whomever.

Your reported post for the record, was the most immature report I have ever read.

Now if you really feel the need to get something else in here......be warned.

LOL damn, *OSU fans have 0 sense of humor.

Maybe we should go back to John Lennon songs?

It'll be just like, starting over...

(You grooved that one for me, right? It could not have possibly been just that easy...)

LOL, yes, "high-minded utopian plans" like universal health insurance never work, except in all those countries I cited. Retard

List the countries that do it like we do, where private companies get a cut of it all.

Our plan with written with/by "BigHealthcare, BigPharma". Their profits aren't going anywhere. We argued so much over whether or not to do it, nobody paid attention to how we were doing it. Now we have the dumbest universal healthcare on the planet.

the difficult thing is, one can say "Obamacare sucks" because it was written by the lobbyists for the healthcare industry, but risk being immediately lumped together with mouth breathing retards like jdilco who consider it bad because it's "socialism."

we need to go back and clarify: the healthcare industry in the U.S. was over-priced and corrupt both before and after the ACA, and in neither case is an example of a free-market, or a competitive industry.

we should also be clear that anyone who would vote against bills that provided state-funded healthcare to all children who need it is not being very christian.

Yeah, but thanks to this horrible plan, we'll never pass a good one.

I'm actually feeling some regret for having complained. Should have ignored. Apologies to Thumb.

Maybe I'm wrong. If people get pissed enough when the changes hit, if they demand change, maybe rather than just changing back, the door will be open to implementing something more reasonable.

Any chance?

http://investigations.nbcnews.com/_...ns-could-not-keep-their-health-insurance?lite

This is NBC News:
President Obama repeatedly assured Americans that after the Affordable Care Act became law, people who liked their health insurance would be able to keep it. But millions of Americans are getting or are about to get cancellation letters for their health insurance under Obamacare, say experts, and the Obama administration has known that for at least three years.

well, hand it to the good people of Vermont, who passed a bill authorizing universal government funded healthcare in their state.

they would exclude federal employees from coverage (they receive their own federal insurance), and employees of large private sector employers.

obviously what would work in Vermont won't work everywhere due to differing demographics, but I think fundamentally, the underlying premise is solid. and in states that have a large Tea Party presence (i.e. a large group of astroturfed Rubes ready to oppose any corporate unfriendly initiatives on the basis of "taxes") it wouldn't even get off the ground.
