While he was still with the Tribe in '68, Luis won 21 games in what was the first of 4 seasons win 20 or more victories in his long career. But in his following (and last ) season with the Indians, in '69, he then lost 20 games. There can't be very many SPs in MLB history who have ever done that before in consecutive seasons.

Met Luis Tiant on the street after some redsox thing....can't remember what it was for dammit, all I remember is we were walking away from the Copley Place where it was held nearly 20 years ago, and Luis was walking on the sidewalk too.
His bb cards had him listed at 5'11"or 6" he was shorter than me.
Very friendly talking with everyone, shook hands, and signed for some.
I think a pitcher from years ago Dolph(sp) Luque was the first Cuban born pitcher. and wasn't Mike Cuellar from Cuba too?
20 game winner and 20 game loser the following year, all I can think of is Wilbur Wood around 74/75.
Good stuff Ty, thanks.
