Bill Parcels once said that a bad draft can destroy a team for 6 -7 years. Not a bad pick, but just a bad overall draft.
I was thinking abou that, mostly because of all the risky picks the Lions have been associated with this year, and decided to look up the 2005 draft.
1. Mike Williams, WR, USC. (rd. 1)
2. Shaun Cody, DT. USC (rd. 2)
3. Stanley Wilson, CB, Stanford (rd. 3)
4. Dan Orlovsky, QB, Connecticut (rd. 5)
5. Bill Swancutt, DE, Oregon State (rd. 6)
6. Johnathon Goddard, LB, Marshall (rd. 6)
If the Tuna was right, how in the hell did we even survive the next 7 years, because that has to be the worst draft ever put together.
Sheesh Millen, thanks for nothing, and may you smoke a turd in hell.
