In an ideal world Devin Gardner will be the starting QB next season with Denard averaging 12-16 plays in the backfield as a run or pass threat. He could line up as a receiver the remainder of the offensive plays. Under this scenario Denard gets his touches and the QB play should improve in overall effectiveness. Of course the lack of depth at the QB position is a concern especially with the team not expecting to sign one in this class. I find it highly unlikely that Denard would transfer with only one year of eligibility left. This move could also greatly improve his draft prospects as well. If handled properly in the offseason I think Denard could be open to this move. I just don't see him improving significantly as a passer and it seems the increased emphasis they place on making him more of a pocket presence only takes away from what he does best.

In an ideal world Denard Robinson learns how to throw like Tom Brady in the offseason while getting even faster running.....

In an ideal world all the players grow 2 feet while becoming faster, stronger, and more athletic and we win every game 100-0......

You Know, I don't think that will happen.

I don't see UM scoring a 100 every game. Hoke will call the dogs off after 60.

Unless he wants to channel his inner Yost...

Then it wouldn't be a perfect world.

Doesn't UM have a top drop back passer coming in next year?

He just finished up his junior season by getting shut out against Cass Tech in the playoffs. Sounds like it was a pretty horrible game for him, but LB commit Royce Jenkins-Stone did score the only TD (as a RB).

You're right, we should have expected them to hold the #1 quarterback in his class to 4-14, 28 yards, 2 picks, 1 fumble. Most average QB's they face end up with 0 completions to go along with negative 100+ yards rushing, as they turn and run from the defense in terror whenever they drop back to pass.

Read about the game. Sounds like the Cass corners really shut down the passing game. Plus how do the two lines compare?

EXACTLY! It's Cass frickin Tech...we know how great they are.
