2016 NFL Draft Thread

THREE trench guys in three rounds? Awesome. And Glasgow is a big boy for a center. Even Urban had nice things to say.

Not saying this is a bad thing but these first 3 picks remind me a lot of Millen's first 3 picks. (Backus/Rogers/Raiola)

In the scheme of things Backus was very solid and maybe more important - healthy.

Lol wasn't millens first draft similar to this one first three rounds? Backus, Rogers, and raiola. Probably millers best draft sadly. Btw not saying Quinn will be millen. And actually I just looked it up. Raiola and Rogers were both second rounders.

Graham Glasgow, C, Michigan
Height: 6-6. Weight: 306. Arm: 33.13. Hand: 9.75.
40 Time: 5.13.
Projected Round (2016): 3-5.
4/26/16: Glasgow was one of the stars of the East-West Shrine and kept up the strong play the Senior Bowl. He was one of the only centers who could win one-on-ones with some of the top interior defensive talents like Alabama's Jarran Reed. Glasgow was consistent throughout both weeks. He held his won in the pass-rushing one-on-ones and looked very good in the team-scrimmage sessions. With his size, Glasgow could compete at guard or center in the NFL. He started 37 games at Michigan, mainly at center, but also at guard.

The similarities end once you look past the positions. Glasgow could chop his feet off and fast for a week and he'd be bigger than Crayola.

Is Quinn a DSF poster? Took care of OT, C and got a guy for DL in the first 3 rounds.

I vastly prefer a needs based draft to Millen and Mayhew's worst player available philosophy.

I think it was need draft if the talent was right however. Millen did draft need based at times and he drafted talent based at times. (Like his receiver obsession). He just didn't pick high character guys with talent. He either picked one or the other. There was a draft we had like a million second round picks. Got like Aj davis, Alama Francis, Drew Stanton and a safety from Boise Gerald Alexander, those were all need picks. And they were all useless. Lol Aj Davis didn't even make it out of camp. A horrible pick.

The trading up is the thing that baffled me. But our 2nd round kicker was awesome for 20 years. No fun having 3-4 kickers a year. I understand about the best K's drafted late or not at all, but many teams who have gone that route did not get lucky with their late or un-drafted K..

I like the Bills, Browns, Colts, Saints, and Redskins drafts so far. While I'm glad the Lions have addressed important need positions, I like the Bears and Vikings drafts more than our own among our division.
