The bracket is final

Northwestern plays Illinois Wednesday. The winner will get Iowa on Thursday. Then the winner of that will play MIchigan, probably sometime between 8:30 pm and 9pm friday night on BTN.

Nothing changed in the seedings that I thought would be when I thought the B1G season ended yesterday.

Northwestern, Illinois or Iowa.

FYI - Tip is scheduled for 9:25 PM EST. Obviously can be pushed back if the other games run long.

Well, that stinks. The thing I read is that the game will tip off 25 minutes after the 6pm game is over. Typically, these games take approximately 2 hours.

I know it's still a little early to care about bracketology, but Lunardi has us down to a 3 seed, on the same side of the bracket as #2 Duke, and having to get by #1 Kentucky.

as far as current #1's go, I'd rather play any of the others (UVA, Gonzaga, or UNC). But that's just a gut feeling.

They moved LSU up to a 2 seed even though their coach is suspended...

Ehh a 2 or 3 wouldn't really bother me either way. I don't think seeding will make or break us. Michigan just needs to play their best game and they are more than capable of advancing through pretty much anybody.

I want no part of Duke either after the way Iggy puffed out his chest at them earlier this year.

Yeah, I'd rather see someone else knock off Duke and MSU.

Duke is really good and they always have the refs in their backpocket.

I don't really want to play Duke, MSU, or UK.

But now is the time of year when luck starts to matter more than talent.

We beat the tar out of teams earlier... will we revert back to form once we get out of the familiarity of conference play?

Or are we tired, and as a known quantity, unlikely to take anyone by surprise?

ENQUIRING MINDS WANT TO KNOW...

I'm not sure how the coach is suspended, but Javonte Smart is still playing. The recorded calls are clearly about paying Smart, so how he's still getting to play is beyond me.

Other than maybe sweating it a bit more in the first 2 rounds, A 2 vs 3 doesn't matter much. The 3 has to beat the 2. The 2 has to beat the 3 in the Sweet 16.

I'm not sure I buy LSU as a 2 though even though they did win the SEC regular season. Both of their big wins at UK and vs TN at home were a bit controversial and their overall schedule isn't all that great.

I just hope we don't see 3 ACC teams as #1s. But I can totally seeing the committee giving Duke a pass because Zion was out but then treating UNC's wins over them the same as if he wasn't out. We will see in the ACC tournament I guess.

Overall with maybe a bit of movement though the top 3 seeds seem pretty clear and it seems like there's a decent amount of separate between the top 10 teams and the rest. UVa, Gonzaga, Duke, Kentucky, Tennessee, UNC, MSU, LSU, UM, Texas Tech. After that you're talking teams like Houston, Purdue and a few others trying to get onto the 3 line.

so back to the BTT

Likely scenario if Michigan keeps winning and the favorites all win would be:

Iowa, Purdue, then MSU

For what it’s worth or not worth, finishing the regular season Edit going into the postseason
@ #10 in both the AP poll and the NCAA net rankings.

Coaches rankings were pending at the time I looked this up.

It's amazing how everyone gets a pass with losing to rivals, but the Big10 gets severely dinged being in the toughest conference top to bottom. Its fucking amazing. Virginia cant Duke, Duke cant beat UNC, Michigan cant beat MSU, MSU cant beat Indiana, all for the time being at least. We still have the conference tourneys. That Joe Lunardi prick is a fucking dildo. He is totally playing SEC/ACC favorites. And to add, 2 versus being a 3 is worlds difference. Who you get in the 2nd round is huge. Match ups make a difference.

Michigan does have to win the tourney to make a 2 seed or stay a 2. That much is fact. And if Michigan does beat MSU, that should not be a ding against State not being a 2 and drop them to a 3. That would just be humongous amounts of bullshit. I know I'm beating a dead horse, but it is just not fair that the other conferences get a huge pass when they lose.
