My opinions.

Hard to argue against you, there really isn't anything exciting about that list.

I'd say keep Hickets, Rybar, Holmstrom, and Turgeon on short deals.

I wish.

We don't even know status of Kronwall for next season. Still a chance he is returning.

Red Wing prospect Jared McIsaac has shoulder surgery.

Will be out 5-6 months.

Kind of a shame for him to lose a summer of training at his age. Had an impact year in the Q.

Should we let Kronwall walk ? He is a shell of his former self.

If the quote is correct from nhltraderumours, it is 100% a Kronwall decision.

“He’s going to take some time. We’ll get a decision from him one way or the other. I’m in no rush. I’m not putting any pressure on him or feel the need to put undue pressure on him. Take all the time that you want and make a decision. We’re prepared. At this time, we can plan moving forward with him and without him. Free agency starts July 1, and I don’t know if free agency even has an impact on whether he stays or not. We still have got to do what we’ve got to do.”

Every mock I see he's gone before pick 6 but I'd like Byram.
We need defense. Of course my wish would be 2 through 5 decided to forgo their picks so we could grab Kakko.

It depends whose scouting list you are using.

I would expect York, Soderstrom, and Broberg going before Moritz, but we shall see tomorrow night.

Unless Byrom is available, don't expect the Wings to take a D-man.

This site seems to have a decent compilation of many lists. Sadly it don't show positions.

General consensus on Moritz is 15-20 although a pair of lists have him at 9 and 10. This includes your source Byco. Although, I doubt anyone would take him over Caufield as in that hockey prospects list.

Its a supposedly a very deep draft in the first round.

Red Wings Qualify: Hickets, Rybar, Turgeon

DO NOT QUALIFY: Frk (no surprise), Sadowy (played mostly in AHL), Sulak (already signed in KHL), and Holmstrom (Signed to Husqvarna Vatterstad of Swedish league).
