It?s well known that Kennedy and Nixon had become famous friends across the aisle during their tenures on Capital Hill before each was nominated by their respective parties to be the respective nominees in 1960.

If the subject of their mutual appreciation for gratuitous sex and violence (not as well known as their friendship is that they were both fans of the Fleming 007 novels) didn?t come up during the debate, one can be sure they discussed it jovially in the green room beforehand.
