2020 Dem candidate

Of the Democrats who have publicly declared their candidacies, here's how I feel about each:

Corey Booker - :ugh:
Pete Buttigieg - :ugh:
Julian Castro - :ugh:
John Delaney - (is he still even in the race?)
Tulsi Gabbard -
Kirsten Gillibrand - :ugh:
Kamala Harris - :ugh:
Amy Klobuchar - :ugh:
Elizabeth Warren -
Bernie Sanders -

If I had to rank the UGH candidates, I'd hold my nose and vote for Klobuchar.

Disappointed in Sherrod Brown.

EDIT: UPDATED NOW THAT BERNIE HAS DECLARED

vbulletin won't let you add more than 12 emojis in a post. had to delete some of the extra happy emojis I added for Bernie.

Hope no one else enters...

EDIT II: Updated to reflect the fact that we know more about Butt-edge now, and we know he sucks. ND sucks...

also, Elizabeth Warren is actually putting out policy recommendations which is refreshing and good. Much better than empty platitudes about togetherness or hope (O'Rourke, Buttedge) or hate (like Trump).

Bernie's influence in 2016 at work.

AP Report on Gabbard?s
Consultation with President Elect Trump

The Democratic primary in California is open so non-Democrats can vote in it.

I expect I?ll be voting for Tulsi Gabbard for Democratic nomination in the California primary, just like I voted for Obama against Clinton in 2008 and I would?ve voted for Sanders against Clinton in 2016 if he hadn?t withdrawn before the primary.

Except of course unless any other Republican had still been standing-then I would have registered Republican and voted ?never trump?.

Ha! Buttigieg!!

the openly gay mayor of South Bend, IN. I guess his last name is Maltese.

also a veteran who served overseas, unlike Draft-Dodging Coward Donald Trump.

He would be the youngest ever president, if elected. I thought you had to be 40 but the Constitution says it's 35.

Hearing there might be a push to force Sanders to commit to being a registered dem this go around if he wants to run as a Dem since he's a registered I. Why is the Dem party allowing him to run as a Dem when he's not a Dem.

https://www.cnn.com/2019/02/21/poli...-run-as-democrat-independent-cnntv/index.html

This is very good question.

It depends on the ballot requirements in each state regarding getting on the ballot in that state.

A person needs to start the process by a particular time, I imagine the person needs to get a certain amount of signers to petitions to get on the ballot and so forth.

Obviously he was not disallowed it to run in 2016, so it would follow that if that were to happen in 2020, something in the ballot requirement bylaws would have to be changed.

EDIT: Ballot access for presidential candidates

I heard today that the NJ legislature is trying to pass a law that will keep presidential candidates off the ballot unless they release their tax returns. Typical NJ Dem cowardly nonsense. Obviously, it's a symbolic law (at this point) since Trump has no shot of winning NJ. Actually, it's a bit more than symbolic since it would affect his popular vote count to some degree. I'm sure some NJ Trump voters would write him in but I wouldn't be surprised if a lot might just not bother since he can't win the state.

I'm shocked bob didn't post about this already since he's always so on top of the gerrymandering and voter suppression shenanigans because he cares so much about free and fair elections.

Bernie just released all his tax returns! He has nothing to hide.

I could give a rats ass what his tax returns show I don't consider tax returns a primary factor in deciding whether or not I support a candidate or not. I factor their positions on key issues more than anything else. The only people who care about trumps tax returns are the 24/7 hate monger MSM libtards

right?

but then again...

you're the kinda person who thinks being a failed real estate developer, a career fraud, sleazeball, creep toward women, and a racist makes a guy presidential material.

Wrong. those are all libturd projections I think he's the kinda person that loves his country and puts America first and foremost in his decision making process.

?ABC, CNN, multiple news reports have reported about his some dealings with, for example, S&A Construction, which was owned by 'Fat Tony' Salerno, who is a mobster who is in jail,? Cruz said Sunday morning. ?Maybe his taxes show those business dealings are a lot more extensive than has been reported.?

On his itemized list of deductions ($500,000 mob payoff)

Let me know when we have a better option to back that also puts American interest first I'm open to a less sleazy trump if one exist. I can't get behind shifting left as a better alternative.

I didn?t say you should.

You said the only people who care about trumps tax returns were main stream media liberals.

Well, it is factual bought that at the time of the Republican nominating process his most successful challengers had questions about his tax returns.

and yet he still won, so most don't care. and I do occasionally stereotype myself, I'm human, I apologize.

I would say that yes, most of his Republican base either don’t care, or have just come to accept it.

Former Massachusetts Republican governor Wendell Weld is looking to challenge Trump.

Probably not going to have much of an impact though.

The Republican Party is dwindling though. I recently read that registered to no party is going to pass the Republicans as the number two in registered voters.

So we’ll see who the Democrats nominate and how everything plays out in the general election.

That's such a weak argument. You could say that about any president as it's purely subjective.

Intentions and results are two very different things.

I do base that opinion on his actions thus far compared to others, others just gave things lip service, then maintained the status quo, he's actually trying and slowly but surely getting the rest of the world to stop taking advantage of us. Others just sold us out and up the river.
