I guess you're unaware this is actually an open investigation that's being slow-walked by the DOJ & FBI investigators. It's not a dormant issue that's just now being brought back up by conservative conspiracy theorists. Nothing has been disproved - there's not been a conclusion, no final or even preliminary report issued by the DOJ yet. It's an open and ongoing investigation. No one, including Joe Biden has been cleared of anything yet.

The other day on CNN, one of their left wing commentators called out the DOJ and FBI criticizing them for dragging out the investigation for 5 years without any conclusion.

Yes, it was basically ignored for the 4 years that Trump was in office and Republicans were running the DOJ and FBI.

One of these days you'll make an argument that actually makes sense. Unfortunately, today is not that day.

No it wasn't - no one was even aware of the laptop until October 2020 (except of course the FBI who had it in 2019). That's less than 3 years ago. Remember, they ran a disinformation campaign to call the laptop disinformation for years? It literally took years for them to admit the contents of the laptop were authentic - coincidentally, that happened around the time Republicans took control of the House. And House members still had to threaten the FBI with subpoenas to get them to release documents that seem to be making the FBI look pretty incompetent if not outright corrupt. But it's probably not real because CNN isn't covering it but Fox probably is.

If this story was ignored during Trump's presidency it's because the FBI and DOJ were too busy wasting time and money investigating Trump, not because it was a baseless conspiracy theory.

I haven't heard anyone say the laptop has been doctored. First we heard it was Russian disinformation for years, now we're hearing it's authentic. If you know something the FBI doesn't, you should let them know ASAP so Hunter doesn't get wrongly accused of something Rudy Guilliani made up.

And it was tax AND gun crimes, not just tax crimes. But now as it turns out, there may be more to it than just tax and gun crimes which is why the FBI is looking incompetent and/or corrupt at the moment.

And I know, I know. It's frustrating that people want to know how the crackhead son of the US VP with no experience investing or managing money beat out the world's top money managers for a $1.2B investment from the Chinese sovereign fund when what we should be worried about it how the fuck did Ivanka Trump get approval to make some baby clothes in China?

It's just not possible that Biden would influence members of his own party particularly for his kid and not the best interests of the American people. That's straight from the horses mouth - he's on video taking full credit for it.
