2024 Election

The DNC has been interesting. Sleepy Joe said his goodbyes the night before last. The Obamas spoke last night, but I didn't stay up late enough to catch that. Kamala is going to give her big acceptance speech tomorrow.

The Kamala/Trump debates are just a couple weeks away.
 
Curious what Republitards make of the Cheney family endorsement of Kamala Harris.

Now... I view it as a bad thing. I would not vote for anyone Dick Cheney likes. He was bad prior to 2009, and he's still bad today, and so is his daughter Liz. I haven't liked or supported Harris (or Biden...) in any way shape or form since 2016 at least, and now having Dick Cheney in that corner is just another reason why I know I'm right here.

Buuuuut if I was someone who supported everything done from 2001-2009, it would seem to me that I would be supporting Kamala Harris now, given Cheney's endorsement. Yet, I haven't heard any Republitards really comment on it.

I know they would prefer to just ignore it and play politics as usual for Team GOP, but come on... how can you ignore this? This would be like Obama endorsing Donald Trump.

I'm glad that there are non-MAGA Republicans out there throwing their support towards her. I can't say anything good about the Cheney family, but those endorsements should only help. I'd much rather it be someone that is currently in the political sphere, but needless to say, that's political suicide.

I'm not saying Trump is a conservative because he's clearly a populist with some conservative tendencies. But what conservative principals do any of the Cheney's exhibit? They're both globalist, interventionist, spend happy warmongers doing the bidding of major corporations. No different from establishment Dems, except maybe some of the corporations pulling the puppet strings are different - some but probably not many. Perhaps the only bigger fraud than people like Cheney and Kinsinger is Anna Navarro but she's never held elected office, she's just a chubby girl spewing every leftist talking point who for some reason calls herself a Republican.

I went out and voted for Harris as well, though the vote feels pretty irrelevant where I live. I just hope Trump loses this week and MAGA dies down and we can go back to a traditional Republican Party.

Somehow I see him trying to get back in until he’s dead.
 
This is a grave day. I have no confidence in either. I hope I'm wrong but this sucks.
 
I find these "conservatives" for Kamala interesting - Trump is by far the more moderate candidate of the two on virtually every policy position.

Sometimes a certain person, like Trump, shouldn't be President. Of course Harris either. We need better candidates.
 
We may but we have 2 choices and Trump is clearly better than Harris on the economy, crime, border, trade, foreign policy, etc, etc, etc

I wouldn't vote for Hitler or Putin either. Policies sometimes don't matter.
