Stanton, Hoyer, and Cousins.

My former in-laws in Cleveland-men and women alike-are all masturbating to pictures of Brian Hoyer right now.

looks like cousins is finally going to get his shot this year, hope he stays healty

Best case scenario for Washington...not that they wanted RGIII hurt......but if Cousins comes in and plays well.....they're gonna get good pics when they trade one.

RGIII is an awful QB, just because you draft someone early in the draft doesn't mean he's necessarily a better option to run your team than someone drafted lower. If you have eyes it's very obvious that Cousins is the better QB.

I thought Cousins should have had the starting spot 5-6 games in last year.

We both know that but reams don't always move on from the sunk cost of a player. They've invested a top draft pick and a ton of money into him so they would stick with him way too long, even if it hurts them.

I know a member of the former WAS staff (now elsewhere, coaching a Sparty in the NFL) who said Cousins should have been playing ahead of RG-3 all along but for pressure from Snyder.

Not surprising

He's damaged goods now as good as he looked as a rookie. He already had an ACL injury in college and then pretty much ruined himself by continuing to play in that playoff game his rookie year.

Apparently it was the classic, "had to shorten the playbook for RG" when Cousins had better command of the offense. I think that comes from the read option schemes in CFB as much as anything. A lot of dynamic QBs can't read a defense other than the DE crashing on the option

If I was Cousins I would have gone into Snyder's office and told him Elizabeth Warren was my mom which meant I was 1/64 native American and I supported the name. Maybe then he would have won the starting job sooner - it works at Harvard...

I need Stanton to go on a huge winning streak with lots of touchdowns... ( I have about 20 of his autograph rookie cards I need to unload) anyone know how long he will be starting?

Imo, Cousins is the only one of the three with long term potential.

he's the youngest of the 3 so that helps. hoyer has played very well when he got his shot, had some good games last year and then got hurt. obviously manziel is their future but Hoyer could get a job somewhere else or at least get another contract as a backup

I know it's a bit of a stretch but we have another former spartan starting tonight in Foles. of course he didn't finish his career at MSU but was quoted as saying he loved MD and had no hard feelings, he was cheering for MSU in the rose bowl. he just needed to get a chance to get on the field, good thing he made the move, he would have just gotten garbage time behind Cousins
