4 Games, Picks and $1,000,000 - Patriots.

Whatever happend with the Dolphins suh tainting issue haven't heard shit about that lately

Just look at how long it took for this to come out..

On the surface seems like the punishment was over the top but then again he played dumb, lied and made jokes about balls..so... another case of cover up worse than the crime.

It seems excessive, I thought a 2 game suspension and a team fine was good enough, but given their track record with pushing the boundaries and lying about it I don't feel sorry for them

Man, that hurts LONG term.

Losing Brady for four games, you can still make the playoffs this year.

Losing a first round pick hurts for years to come.

The million bucks is "meh" for an owner. The 4th rounder in 2017 is just insult to injury.

The more I think about this, there is something that really bothers me about this punishment....

Obviously, the NFL doesn't think Brady acted alone here. By fining the team the largest fine ever handed out, and taking two picks away, the NFL is clearly sending the message that the team knew what was going on at the very least.

And by team, I don't mean two low level locker room guys. I mean Belichick. Why? Because those are hefty fines. It's clear at this point the NFL feel The Hoodie knew and perhaps even cooperated.

So if this is about cheating, why isn't Bill suspended for a year. Sean Payton got a year for "knowing" about the bounty program, even though the NFL claims they found no evidence that he was directly involved.

Isn't the NFL saying here "It's all about cheating, except it's not, because we're taking it all with a grain of salt where the coach is concerned"?

I don't know why I am so often shocked by the lack of consistency from Goodell's office, but I am, just about every time.

From what I understand Brady is part of NE so they're responsible. Kind of like a Captain goes down with the ship. So they could be innocent and still be penalized..

NFL network suggesting punishment may have been influenced by a lack of cooperation with the investigation from Brady and others and it's perfectly within thier right to lower the boom when thier is a lack of cooperation..Brady already tweeting out some bashing..that won't help his cuase either..lol

Big Smile on my face over this whole thing with the Patriots.
Patriots and redsox motto,
Win if you can, lose if you must, but always Cheat.

Saw a funny tweet by Donald Trump "If Hilary doesn't have to supply emails why should Tom.." Lol.

Suspend Stafford 4 games, lose a 1st rounder and a bunch of money in exchange for a Super Bowl?

Sign me up.

Payton got what he deserved for knowing about a bounty program and Brady & the Pats got a good punishment for breaking the rules as well. Two very different offenses and two very different penalties.

Atlanta only lost a 5th round draft pick for cheating and purposely pumping in crowd noise during their home games. Ray Rice was going to only get 2 games for knocking his fianc? the fuck out and it's on film. I just don't understand how the nfl decides to levy each penalty...and that's a big issue. Doesn't seem to matter if they have concrete proof or not. It just seems like they pick and choose which issue they won't to make a big deal out of.

Rice thing was just messed up. They were all over the place. As far as this one, I don't think it had anything to do with the footballs. It was about not coming forth, not supplying info. when asked. Making fun of the situation etc. He could have said here, this is what happened blah blah blah..he probably gets 2 games and nothing else..

Your making a major assumption that the nfl knows what the fuck they are doing when passing out judgement/punishment. Goodell had proven time and time again that is not the case.
