Its been government involvement that creates the problems my friend

No it hasn't. Again, you and sparty need to go learn your history and then come back.

Here's how it works: see there are these things called "books" and a way to view facts called "objectivity." You read books and learn facts, and interpret them objectively to learn and understand ideas and concepts that you can then apply to the real world, or at least apply to a discussion of the real world.

LMAO. Go move to Finland with hockeywings and enjoy the socialist lifestyle. Our nation will be better off without you.

Capitalism and socialism are not mutually exclusive. There is a great deal of grey in between.

But, could you point out where I said anything about capitalism and socialism?

Second, again I ask give me an example of where a free market supports a middle class. It wasn't until we started our social programs that we developed a strong middle class.

How is Germany feeling? How is Norway feeling? How is Finland feeling?

Now lets look at the European country that is following conservative ideals.

How is England feeling?

You don't get it. Capitalism is what drives innovation, technology, pharmaceuticals, and new inventions. That is why the U.S. is the most successful country in the world! Without capitalism there would be much less incentive to invest large sums of capital into R/D.

Now lets discuss your examples of Finland and Norway. These two countries have the combined population of of NYC alone. I'm a heavy activist for state rights, giving power back to the people. The United States has over 300 million people. Do you really want the Federal government to have that much control? The USPS is in debt, AMTRAK loses money, private schools outperform public schools, look at Fannie and Freddie. I can go about private sector trumps government. It all goes back to incentive.

England is in the same boat as we because they are fiscally irresponsible. I don't know why you labeled them "conservative". Conservative is a term for government while capitalism is term for economic structure.

All you liberals wouldn't have you precious iPhone with capitalism.

I notice you neglect to show me a free market which supports a middle class. You may be starting to notice that they aren't conducive to one another.

Capitalism is not what drives those things, competition is. The end result of a free market capitalistic society is the same as the end of a monopoly game.(An interesting side note: the game was originally meant to be played once to completion and then again with the winner of the first game starting with everything to illustrate how if someone owns everything, then everyone loses but them.)

The USPS is in debt; that is true. Would you like to enlighten us as to why? I'll give you a hint, it was from a law passed in 2006. Private schools pick their kids, public schools cannot, the mortgage situation was helped along by deregulation.

The issue you have with Ron Paul is the (R) next to his name. If he had (D) and had the same view points you would have zero problem with him.

Bill Maher and many more liberals support Ron Paul. He is a man of the people.

If I ran for public office, I wouldn't be putting a D next to my name, so try another argument.

I actually don't like his views. I believe we need regulation, I believe we need social safety nets, I don't think we should let the states run as much a Paul does.

I do agree with his legalization view, and anti war view. But those don't out way the others.

If you take a look at the voting advice thread where someone wanted advice for voting for a republican, the one I initially suggested was Paul for his consistency.

But me, I go by the old cliche, don't stick your dick in crazy, and right now the republican party is full of crazy.

1) Capitalism is competition. Explain otherwise. Socialism reduces competition. Can you explain why the US has most of the greatest innovations than any other country to date?

The free market provides opportunity. I have already explained my path through college and I put myself through on my own.

2) Please inform me of the 2006 law. Even though I don't know what the law is to any extent, any law is going to be some type of REGULATION.

3) Private schools chose their kids? Maybe some but be realistic, most do not. Now you are stretching here.

1. Socialism in your mind reduces competition. But your capitalism without regulation only produces one thing, one company to win it all.

2. http://www.pbs.org/wnet/need-to-know/five-things/the-u-s-postal-service/11433/

3. Are you kidding me? You mess up in private school, you get sent home for good. Not so easy in a public school.

1) What business classes have you taken? Try Econ 101.

2) AGAIN, Government is to blame! They can't do anything right. Privatization.

3) Private schools teachers don't earn tenure, receive insane pensions, and earn $80,000 a year for working 8 months. Private schools are run efficiently. Your argument is beyond weak. Seriously, come up with something better.

1. No need for anti monopoly laws then eh? That socialist europe must have it wrong with the many cell phone companies and low prices.

2. Read number 2 in that link.

3. Do you like just making up numbers? Or do you do it when you know you are over your head?

Again, it is said to see someone like Ron Paul, who is so consistent in his message being parroted by someone who isn't. It truly hurts him a great deal when someone has to lie to get his message across.

1)What ideas of mine contradict Ron Paul's?

2)I went to a public high where many of the teachers had Master's degrees. I apologize for not providing evidence/explanation in my previous post.

http://www.teacherportal.com/district/michigan/utica-community-schools

On several occasions teachers openly said they made $80,000 (with roughly 10 years of experience). Prorate this salary and its absurd. Teachers actually had "student aids" who graded homework. Give me a break.

In the private sector, a bad employee gets fired while a good employee gets a promotion and raise

In public schools, a bad teacher who performs poorly is rewarded with the rest of them.

My favorite quote a teacher (with tenure) ever said to the class "they couldn't fire me if they wanted to".

I am no longer going to discuss my view on economics. I am a firm believer in Austrian Economics. As is Dr. Paul.

I am so glad you use anecdotal evidence in place of real facts. It really makes your argument shine. It is truly enlightening that you tell this to an actual teacher who has researched and searched private and public high school jobs. It isn't like an educator, such as myself, wouldn't be aware that you are full of fucking shit. But nice try, maybe someone who isn't aware would believe you.

I'm sorry this information hurts you so much. My former district's stats are right there.

When Liberals are pushed against the wall the name calling comes out.

No offense, but the entire point of my previous post is that you didn't provide any concrete evidence. You use anecdotal evidence. Which is worth shit to me, because I actually looked at private school jobs and public school jobs. I am in that field. I truly don't think you are fooling anyone here but tsmith, but I think it is still important to point out blatant lies when you tell them.

Again, there are a ton of benefits to being in a private school, but pay is not one of them.

"It isn't like an educator, such as myself,"
no wonder our education system blows...thinking about your money over actually educating? good lib!!!

Sorry, I forgot. I don't have bills or a family. Hell, I should just donate my time. It isn't like I have student loans or anything. Being a cyborg, I do not have to eat or have a roof over my head.

get a job for the 3+ months you have off in the summer. Obama's good at creating part time jobs

Sorry, those 3 months are usually filled with training and continuing education, but nice try on saying we are lazy.

+1

Of course public schools are better for teachers, they get paid well and get a bunch of time off.

The publc school system sucks for students. Students are forced to go to one school, they dont have a choice. I can shop at Meijer, Kroger, Kmart etc. We need alternatives. How would you feel if you had to shop at Whole Foods without a choice, that was your vri er store because the government forced you to shop there.

I am so confused by your response. Are you now saying public schools paying better? Are you trying to say I am lying about working in the summer? Are you trying to say one of the lowest paying jobs for a four year degree minimum job is actually decent pay?
